I wouldn't hate it. But I think again we're drafting for future years. He won't have an impact this year.

As bad as they need just about everything on defense would it shock you if they tried to make the offense more Dak friendly?

Don't see how you could be upset with the pick. Kid is a matchup nightmare and would instantly make the offense better

For some reason I can see them making the argument that the defense has so many holes that they can't address everything adequately on that side of the ball in one year. So, in-lieu of doing that they'll argue they're going to make the offense better....or like you said, more "Dak friendly."

You can fill some holes all throughout the draft.

If you got a chance to take a potential impact player over a guy that's just going to fill a hole then I think you take the impact guy.

He is a match up nightmare...but can they create those matchups??

Probably not but we do have so many offensive threats that it will probably just naturally create matchup problems.

They probably go with defense or ol on the first pick. I wouldn't be surprised if they do something to get more picks. I can see them trading Romo for a 3rd round pick and trading back from 28 to get another pick.

I think people need to accept that Escobar just isn't a good football player. That and the fact that Witten is all but done. He's most likely not going to be the starting TE next year and his replacement isn't currently on the roster

Ok well sentences 2 and 3 still apply then. TE is a big part of the offense and we don't have a replacement for our current 1. Or poosibly even a #2 after Swaim's injury

I am OK with Djoku and Engram, both will be franchise type players. We have to use Engram a little differently,he can line all over the place from the Slot to outside .

I know this is heresy, but I would say our 1 isn't really even a 1 anymore. At least, not like we'd like to think he is. I love the guy, but Witten is a shell of his former self and if we have the chance to upgrade, and a TE happens to be the clear best player available at a certain pick, I'd definitely do it.

Don't disagree with this at all either. A TE occupying S's in the deep middle would do wonders for Dez. And putting Njoku and Beasley next to each other in the slot would be deadly.

If we take a offensive player in the first it tells me that we're going to load up on offense and try to out score everyone.. the defense we'll fend for yourself.

I think its to replace Witten and there is no better draft to find a a great TE,it doesnt even have to be the first or 2nd Rd.

Witten is on his last legs but the way Dak spreads the ball around and with Zeke in the backfield there's no way you can justify taking a TE the first four rounds. Jeff Heath is our Starting SS.. Nolan carrol is our #1 CB. Our DL is full of question marks and we have no quality LB depth.

IMO there is every need for a TE with speed,we severely lack YAC from TEs,
