David Njoku

I was all for Njoku with our 28 pick, but I'm cooling on him now. I don't think he's polished enough, and I'd rather pick as close to a sure thing as possible. Besides, this is a very deep TE draft. We can get one later. The only TE I'd take in the first is O.J. Howard. He can do it all.

Having said that, I wouldn't be terribly upset with a Njoku pick, as long as we address other, more pressing needs with the subsequent picks.

I don't care if they are polished enough. I almost think that is a positive that he isn't polished enough.

He has a high ceiling and that matters more to me then the player he is today. Especially with Witten still around.

Njoku is a tempting play should he be there. Guy has everything you want in a TE and yes I think his blocking isn't great now, but it's not terrible and he is improving there.

He could add the dimension this team really lacks. Speed in the middle of the field.

we have no quality LB depth.
I would be surprised if the team drafts a LB earlier than the 6th round. I think they are comfortable playing with Lee, Hitchens, Nzeocha, Wilson, and the mythical Jaylon Smith

I hope they're not thinking that...only one of them is a proven starting quality LB, and he has, ahem, a history with injuries. Hitchens is best as a versatile backup and should not be starting on a playoff contender. Wilson and Nzeocha are not known quantities yet.
