I hope we're looking to flip a young DT to some team who's got a vet OT that can help us out. Guys like Bishop or even Edwards aren't worth much in trade (though I like both players), but they play valuable positions. They ought to at least get us around a waiver wire situation for a guy we like if there's anybody out there in danger of getting cut.

Per Braddous..... Coaches can trust Hayden to be where he suppose to be and take up blocker and play within scheme.
Coleman... not trusted yet. Don't know if he will revert back to old self once he's told he made the team.

So our D coaches gameplan around him being reliably driven back every play?:D Gotta keep that consistency, don't want anyone outshine that standard?

Driven back but staying in your gap will result in a few yd gained but vacating your gap responsibility completely will result in 50 yards and a TD.
I am hopeful that Coleman will overtake Hayden's spot sooner than later. Also splitting time will let each stay fresh. That's why I want to keep Bishop as well as he is a true 1 tech.

There is some truth to what you're saying.

Marinelli is OK with the 1tech giving up some ground as long as he says in position to make the tackle. He also wants the 1tech to avoid getting trapped on plays away from him because he wants them to hustle to the outside.

I think Bishop can do everything that Hayden can and do it better.

You might as well avoid message boards if coaches and teams are above being reproach.

All coaches and front offices make mistakes. The great Jimmy Johnson cut multiple of his own 3rd round picks.

Coaches can lose sight of the big picture on occasion because of their personel connection to the player.

That seems like something that should be fixed through coaching (discipline) and not force the team's hand in going with a subpar player such as Hayden. I understand the 1 tech isn't shooting gaps in this scheme, and the team can't have a Lett type of freelancer out there, etc. But we're on year 3 w/this and Hayden seems like your prototype backup in that he knows his role; albeit limited, etc.

Guys... Many of you just don't get it? Marinelli is going to pick who he wants on his defensive line and he just
dotes on Hayden. He does not share your feelings in any meaningful way and Hayden is going to make this team.
Hayden does the job Marinelli wants and he's reliable. You might as well take an extended vacation if you are going
to fixate on Hayden cause, he's on this team and he's gonna be on this team for the foreseeable future. Bank IT!

Has it been stated anywhere that Hayden is a lock? The formula should be...If he is a lock, who will get cut for him and will they be picked up by another team? Also, if Hayden is cut, would he be picked up by another team?

Are you saying we should cock block the cock lock?
