Seriously? He's the fall guy for that performance?

I can point a finger in several directions before I got to him. I thought he had a heckuva training camp and preseason and looked like a young building block.

I wonder why this happened?

I can think of a few guys breathing easier right now. Clutts for example and about 5 more.

The Dallas Cowboys waived defensive tackle Davon Coleman on Monday, according to Brandon George of the DallasMorning News.

Coleman took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the move.

Coleman signed with the Cowboys in 2014 as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State. He played in two games this season for the 'Boys and two last year. Coleman has a total of three total tackles in his NFL career.

Last week, the Cowboys lost defensive tackle Terrell McClain for the season with a toe injury. He was placed on the injuredreserve. Expect the Cowboys to make another move and sign a defensive lineman this week. They'll also get help in Week 5 when defensive end Greg Hardy returns from suspension.

Not sure what we gain by waiving him. I guess if we get Mincey back this week, we'll go to a four-man interior of the two Crawfords, Hayden and Bishop.

Now, that being said, the scheme we use depends on assignment-sound football. We weren't very assignment sound Sunday, and if Marinelli feels a big part of that is Coleman, then I can't blame him for wanting to get rid of him.

Are none of you boys even paying attention?

Jerry and his staff have always been about TALENT. They put up with a lot of crap if a guy has top-drawer talent. And if any of you think a good player would get released over one bad performance...you aren't bringing any intelligence to the dialog.

Either the guy has a drug or assault incident ready to crash on the street...or...more likely: Coleman was merely a guy who got wildly hyped on this forum...but who...EOD, wasn't anything special.

Are people really that upset? The dude can be replaced easily, this isn't the "fall guy" - this is removing the waste at roster spot. Dude has his chance to shine yesterday and blew it. That's the NFL, goodbye.

Sign someone off the street and they'll come in and play just as poorly as he did, and he was here all offseason.

This is a page right out of the Jimmy Johnson Book of Coaching.

He was known to do this with fringe players to get the teams attention.

Not sure it's the right player or for the right reason.

But the whip was just cracked..

I like it but not sure what happens now.
