Got a shoe string?

Use the fork to feed it past the latch and down. Once you have ends of the shoe string above and below the latch pull it until the latch releases.

If this doesn't work you might seriously consider 911.
My shoes are at the front door, out of reach I'm afraid.

LMAO

Last idea. Make a sign that says "2007 Hide and Seek Champion! Took you fools forever to find me" and pin it to your chest. When they find your skeleton they will think this was planned.

:D

I dunno man. I will tell you this, I want to see pics of the hinges, latch and handle when they rescue you.

I have a former neighbor (as of a week ago) who is gay. He and 3 friends got locked in one time because of this very reason, and he called me for help. They were seriously stuck. So I had to have them open the living room window, I removed the screen and was going to climb in and remove the pins of the door so they could get out. I got my foot hung up on the window sill and nearly killed myself climbing through the window.

One of the guys locked in (he's now sort of famous) says to me, "oh be careful. You don't want to come to and have the 4 of us standing over you."

I had to laugh.

That IS a funny story. I can't imagine.

To be sung to the tune of the Rolling Stones' "Under My Thumb":

Stuck in My Room
The gloom, the doom
I hope help will come soon
Real soon, so soon

The handle won't move, the door's jammed in a grove
Will my day soon improve, help dudes!
Got a fork and a spoon, not tools for the screws

I'm Stuck in my room
I've been here all afternoon
Hope help will come soon, real soon, so soon.

McGuyver would have been out in 30 seconds.

Use the fork to puncture some batteries then use the acid to burn the door off it's hinges......

Or strip the wires off your alarm clock with the fork. Pee on the hinges. Use the stripped cord to burn them off like a plasma torch.......

Just a hunch, you were never in the Boy Scouts were you?
I grew up overseas, cub scouts I did, boy scouts I did not. Besides there is nothing in the field manual about breaking open ancient heavy duty locks.

Who told you that ?

Women like men that can tie their shoes. :laugh2:
I think you've ingrained some ridiculous notion into your head or that you have never worn dress shoes before and are unfamiliar with their variety.

I also have been able to deduct that since you are a Commanders fan that taste has long since evaded you.

Is there a window in this cell?

I almost called it a mausoleum, thought that might be a bit much.

Yes this macabre tale is turning very Edgar Alan Poe however the windows taunt me because they cannot be opened beyond mere slits and the fall below is two stories into concrete.

I can't breathe.

This would be a Survivor episode I'd watch. Trapped in a room...
