RB is the easiest position for a player to hit the ground running (no pun intended) in the NFL.
No argument there, but it still isn't automatic. If it was that easy why draft at all and just plug in the duo of Dowdle/Davis?

RB is the easiest position to fill, but that's also why it's the cheapest position to tag a player. After rounds 1 or 2 you look back on the draft and you still end up with more busts than quality players.

Let's just be honest: While RB might be an easy position to find in the draft, its still an important position. Having a crap running back would really hurt the team. Dallas is in a bad position here. They don't have a ton of picks available. They have one RB who is clearly washed and another one who is an injured free agent.

Probably the best scenario would be to re-sign Pollard on a reasonable deal and draft a guy while doing a post June 1 cut on Zeke.

Worst scenario: Keep Zeke, let Pollard go.
Bingo....and this team is dependent upon having a quality running game. I'm not a fan of paying RBs top money, but it makes sense to keep Pollard around for a year to lessen the risk of your RB draft pick being a bust and now you're screwed.

You haven’t heard of the draft?
So rest your hopes in Dallas finding a replacement pair for Pollard and Zeke? Good luck and seeing as how Dallas has holes on defense as well as WR and the OL, you want to dedicate an early selection on a RB? LOL Okay.

I agree we have no one worthy of the tag. Anyone who would be worthy of the tag on this team holds out and gets a massive record breaking deal long before the tag becomes a possibility. Only a competent front office would be able to make good use of a franchise tag.

I'd probably give the tag to either Wilson or Schultz and take Bijan Robinson in round 1. I think Robinson can do what both Zeke and Pollard do as strengths, so he's more efficient and cost effective. Meanwhile, Wilson has become a very good safety, and it'd be nice to keep Schultz if we can.
There is no way Robinson drops to 26. Supposedly he is a better running back prospect then Zeke or Saquan.

You need to quit complaining and go watch some film.

Supposedly, this year the draft is deep at RB. Deepest in years.

I never said draft a RB early. In fact just the opposite. This draft is supposedly deep at RB. As far as Pollard is concerned I haven’t said one way or another whether they should keep him because I don’t know how severe his injury was.

Please don’t tag Pollard. I am over spending on backs. They are a dime a dozen. Roll with Malik and a draft pick.

Sign Wilson to a deal, tag Pollard and let Shultz walk. I would sign Pollard to a 3 year deal at 7-8 million but that's the most I would pay him.

Wilson is the third biggest impact player on defense IMO.
