That's a veteran who knows he will still get some carries and still be a third down option. Even Emmitt wasn't a full time starter as a rookie. DMac and Murray will be great veteran mentors for Elliott. He will surpass them, but let's do it slowly in preseason....last thing I want to see now is an injury in preseason.

I stated maybe a month or two ago that I thought McFadden would get released if not traded for a gym bag. I firmly believe he is gone before camp. Whether he is or not I respect his tweet and overall actions as a Cowboy. One bonus I never thought of with Zeke is he will have Morris and possibly McFadden to his right and left. Those are high character guys. Add Witten and Romo in the offensive meetings and he should be a real quality man over the years relative to habits, community and taking one for the team.

Lawrence is our LDE. Hardy and Gregory were our RDEs last year.

If we got Bosa, I thought Lawrence would switch back to RDE, but he'll stay on the left side now.

I don't think so. Lawrence was drafted to play the RDE, and only played LDE last year because we signed Hardy. I don't believe the LDE is on the team yet.
