Wentz doesn't strike as the all world QB who is going to take the Eagles to promised land , a decent Qb for some time , I would like to think

I don't think we trade up for a QB now. Way too many holes on defense to not take a defensive player in the 2nd round. We'll probably end up taking a project QB in the 4th round or so.

I just don't buy that, teams typically have the terms worked out weeks in advance. I really doubt both sides of a call like that were fumbling around, plus if you watched the NFL Network feed the war room wasn't on the phones before the pick went in.

If you were watching the Cowboys site war room cam, you'd have seen that they WERE on the phone off and on in the few minutes before the pick. Broaddus speculated that Stephen was awaiting someone's return call that last couple of minutes. It's very plausible that time just ran out..

For those who think the Elliott pick doesn't make sense based on Dallas not being willing to resign Murray, understand that the situation is different.

Murray wanted more guaranteed money that Dallas was willing to pay because the team didn't want to have that much guaranteed money tied to a player who had some health issues. It wasn't that Dallas didn't want Murray or even that the team wasn't willing to pay him what it felt was a fair wage, the Cowboys were stuck between a rock and a hard place with Murray.

They got by with McFadden last year. They were prepared to get by with McFadden and Morris this year, but they had a chance to get a young talent expected to be better than both of them at this point. Can't blame them for taking it.

I don't normally watch the draft, but I heard some things in the past, from some comments. I saw it today and that's the only thing I got out of it.. That and Garrett basically looks like he's in it for the ride, like the son of one of Jerry's children just chilling in the war room.

Down to earth kid......enjoys wearing camo on a hunt as a pastime, hunted snow geese this spring less than20 miles from my farm.........next year gotta throw him a invite somehow..........tens of thousands of snows pass thru here yearly
