dt jordan elliott,mizzou

i predict atleast 3 of these will be available at 51.

I think he and Chaisson are the pick.

I think with the draft you have to take the Randy Moss test. If you saw him on another team killing it would it bother you? I just can't imagine passing up Lamb for anything that was on the board. Trading down is getting cute. You don't get cute at 17. You rarely even get a chance at premiere prospects that low.

I pretty much agree.

Don't think Lamb might be as transformitive as Moss to an offense, but yeah, I still remember the stink of passing on Moss for Ellis, and Ellis was a solid guy.

There wasn't even an Ellis option at 17 on defense. Chaisson was the only other true choice. I think, and it looks like others think, Lamb had the better value at the position.

This isn't taking a risk on a guy with questions like Hill.

Lamb is going to transition to a good NFL WR.

There are so many choices on that team, and some should definitely fall to us at #51.

Though it is tempting to trade up and grab a few on that list.

Yeah but a lot of these are sad. A lot of mothers and fathers dead at young ages. Cesar Ruiz dad was 26 years old.......I can't even imagine having to cope with that.
Thats one of the things I dont like about it. With the amount of this content they are using, it really seems ESPN is trying to use these tragedies to heighten their telecast.

I just have the image in my head of some ESPN producer prying information on these tragedies during what is mostly the happiest period in these families lives

Im happy with Lamb, but he fell because teams passed on him as a football player for players they liked better...including two WRs.
Moss dropped due to character concerns...and only that

They're trying to connect you to the players so that you're emotionally invested in their careers. When they face trials during the season you'll remember these things and stick by them. It's marketing psychology, It 100% works. haha

Man, if things keep working out, the Cowboys could get out of the first two rounds with a stud WR and a new starter (and upgrade) on defense.

Fromm would

Didnt say it didnt work. Said its grimey.

Grimey usually works

2nd and 3rd won't get you into the first. Could get you into the top of the 2nd though.

You could also trade a pick next year, if you can get away with our #51, next years 3rd, + this years 4th, you would be getting a great deal if you did your homework. I don't really see that as happening, just throwing out possibilities. This would probably get you into the #37-40 range. Worth it for the right player, in my opinion.

I'm not really sure how we feel about Gladney or Fulton. But, McKinney or Diggs (i might like Diggs more than most, and I'm usually right ) , falling could make it very interesting. I'm sure these other guys are possibilities too.

I just think there's a lot of DL potential in the 3rd round, so I'd be hesitant, but if you can get a cornerstone difference maker in the 2nd, without selling the house, go for it.

And I think one of those two WR choices were wrong ahead of Lamb. Ruggs is a first rounder, but his speed and a couple of his stand out games, one of which Alabama lost, dazzled people.

He's good, but Jeudy and Lamb were the top two. His speed took him first, but it was a fit more than he was the best WR on the board.

With Dallas having Cooper and Gallup, I'm very happy with any one of those three. But if I had to choose, I'd choose Lamb or Ruggs. I'm very happy with Lamb considering the look of the board.
