Draft Day ***Day THREE draft thread***

Don't let his stats fool you. He's the reason they didn't win the championship the last couple years. I live one hour above James Madison I follow them closely. Lol . Scout team quarterback

Yeah, it was unfortunate that his last collegiate pass was picked off at the goal line in the waning seconds of the NC game.

But if you saw Cooper Rush in college you would've never thought he'd make the team. I still can't believe it.

Report: Patriots Held 'Numerous' Video Calls With QB Ben DiNucci of James Madison

"(Ben DiNucci) has had numerous video conferences with the New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, and Chicago Bears," Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network wrote on Monday.

If you haven't heard of Ben DiNucci, you're not alone. After redshirting his freshman year and eventually losing the starting job while at Pittsburgh during his redshirt sophomore season, DiNucci transferred to James Madison, where he seemingly found a perfect match for his abilities. In 2018, he threw for 2,275 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions while adding another 433 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. His redshirt senior campaign is when DiNucci had his best season to-date, throwing for 3,441 yards, 29 touchdowns, six interceptions and adding another 569 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. He also completed 71% of his passes that year.

Maybe they see a little Romo in him, who knows?

Seem a mix of Mayfield and Manziel

Some shot there he seemed like an arrogant jerk .. which I like :D

Overall, seems to be a nothing-to-lose pick

Tell you what....Dinucci looks the part.

Looks like he has some skills to work with.

Reminds me of Romo a little the way he avoids pressure and he has a bit of a sidearm motion.

Maybe they didnt think they could get him here if he had a choice.

I've seen WAY worse picks by this team over the years.

He played high school in suburban Pittsburgh and began his college career at Pitt. Last season he led JMU to the NC game where they lost late to North Dakota State, aka Carson Wentz U.

71% completion percentage in 2019. Didn't McCarthy say something about 71%?

Aren't YOU fancy?

I can't wait for the presser when they tell us they almost took DiNucci in the 5th and had to sweat it out.

I saw him play at JMU last year. Watched most JMU games this year (I attended there). He was ahead usually. When he was behind you expected him to win anyway. Even when JMU played D1, you felt like you had a chance. But the championship game this year was ugly and he didn’t play well (versus NDSU).
