Seriously, how many people even remembered Ken Hamlin was injured?

There wasn't even one thread about him since his injury. History!

Play Ball and move on without Ken Hamlin. If Ball screws up then go to Ken or Mike Hamlin, preferably Mike Hamlin. I've seen enough of Ken Hamlin. Overpaid and underproductive. Same with Newman.

When's the last time a team was at the goalline and threw at Ken Hamlin? If he sucked as bad as everyone says, you'd think teams would actually throw at him.

Ken Hamlin is a JAG.

There is a lot of guys out there that we could get to play at his level of play.

I have nothing against Hamlin but if he had a better contract than I could deal with having him back there.

I have trust that Hamlin will do his job but thats about all I can say about him.

Funny how it's so easy to find "just a guy" when for years we couldn't find anyone to not give up the deep ball. But miraculously we sign Hamlin and our deep pass coverage is completely shored up.

Our corners haven't played 10 yards off on a consistent basis since the first half of 2008. Where have you been?

Sorry, my bad, 8.75 yds off.;)

Where have I been? Red Bank, NJ. Nice little town. I love it here. 5 Miles from the ocean.:)

you can't remember the last time Hamlin made a play yet you'd want to go after Taylor "makes no plays" Mays?

No kidding, 4 interceptions and 2 tackles for loss in his four year college career. The only time I ever see the kid is chasing someone down the field.
Then you see these kids that rate behind him like Nate Allen out of Florida International with 9 interceptions, and 5 tackles for loss over his career. Or Morgan Burnett out of Georgia Tech with 14 interceptions and 11.5 tackles for loss over his career, and wonder how anybody could rate Mays above them.

Ball didn't start the Green Bay game; he played the fourth quarter after Hamlin left with injury.

And Washington only scored 6 points. But the only TD we've given up since he began starting was on him, so pointing at the total points given up doesn't really help an argument for Ball.

Just look at the schools not to say GT isn't a big time school but it doesn't get USC hype.

For those clamoring for Taylor Mays, what about Mike Hamlin?

He's already on the team and has spent a year in the system. I think he's got potential to do something.

Or maybe he sucks since he can't see the field this year...

His replacement has given up as many TDs in 2 games as he gave up in the first 9 games of the season.

Luckily we haven't faced an explosive offense that can challenge us deep since Hamlin's been out or else that number would be even more lopsided.

I agree with you, Hamlin had played well the last month and Ball hasn't looked so impressive to me. He's gotten lucky a couple times. I'd rather have a healthy ball than a 75% Hamlin but make it 90% and I'm less sure.

it's cause he plays for U$C and he has good measurables. he's big, he can jump high and run fast yet he doesn't make any plays.
