The offensive line welcomed a familiar face back to the field Wednesday: Left guard Kyle Kosier, who missed 13 games with a foot injury that required surgery last December. He hasn't practiced since, rehabbing from the procedure during the off-season workouts.

"My body feels great, my legs feel great. My foot feels excellent," he said after working with the first team during Wednesday's light practice.

Head coach Wade Phillips said the team will continue to monitor Kosier's progress, particularly when the pads come on tomorrow. But his return is a great sign for a line that missed his production last year.

This is good. I think he is a great step up from the alternatives. Definitely not one of the elite in the NFL, but he is solid.

It always feels great till you hear a pop.

Indeed, he is solid and steady. It's funny to think back to the many who laughed at the Cowboys for signing him a few years ago. Not only laughed at the signing, but at the relatively cheap signing bonus he got. This is one FA signing where Jerry was right and a lot of others were wrong.

This was a BP signing with Jerry handing out the money.

They all are someone else's idea when they turn out ok.

Yeah this was all Parcells.

And I'm glad he's feeling good. It's nice to have someone who can move like he can. Not that the others cant, but he is by far the best.

The most underrated player on the roster..

The offensive line collapsed when he went down.

He is, and it did. And smart posters are still expecting him to be replaced by Holland in a straight-up competition this season. I don't get it.

Is Holland in shape? And how is his attitude? I thought I heard bad things about both earlier this year.

The truth!

If Kosier is healthy, Holland will not win the spot. He will be important as a backup.

Kosier's loss was huge. His mobility to deal with stunting d-linemen and also being able to pull and get into the second level was absolutely gone with Proctor and Holland trying to fill.

I cannot believe the number of fans that do not understand how important Kosier is and how big his loss was last year.

If im not mistaken he missed only two games in 07 when we went 13-3 and 13 games last year when we went 9-7...hmmm.. and MB3 average dropped from 4.9 to 3.9...and Romo seemed to be on his a** a lot more. He was greatly missed

I don't care who wins as long as Proctor isn't on the field.
