You know that or just a hunch?

He stated that as a fact so that's the way I interpreted it. He wouldn't have said it like that if it was a hunch.'

I think the same thing I thought then-- playing to lose is for losers... you play to win EVERY GAME, or you don't put a team out there...

No exceptions... I swear, some of you guys act like the Boys can't get a very talented player at pick 9, like there are only 3 or 4 players in this draft worth having...

Refresh my memory, when was Dez drafted last year?? When was Ware drafted?? Or Ratliff, or Witten, or Romo, etc., etc.??

I'd tell them it's never a good thing to lose. Only for losers.

Trading next years 1st is stupid. We can't keep building a team if we keep trading away future draft picks. Peterson in no way shape or form is worth two #1's. In fact nobody in this draft is.

Think about it we got the best pass rusher in the league at #9. I say stay pat, or trade down and pick up two studs.

What would getting someone like Dareus do to that label of yours about stupid?

Yea, Bob Lillies, Randy Whites grow on trees....where you just do some pruning each fall.

And on Peterson, I'd say top three is way above where top offensive tackles have been going the past years...as to levels that he would add to Dallas. Just for starters, that would put him above where Darren Woodson was as a player.

Naw, that's pretty dumb allright.

As to dumb, picking up one of the two top receivers, who will be covered under the rookie part of the hat, and just cutting Roy Williams, would make me ecstatic.

But that is just another way of looking at things...

I still think it is ridiculous to want to lose.

I think I'd rather win then tell my players its okay to lose.
Or even worse...JUSTIFY LOSING

I'd rather have an organization that tries to win every weekend than one who caves in the hope of maybe being better next year.

I like the prospects of the slaves that should be there at #9 but if Dallas can trade down a few picks aquire a 3rd and still land a Brandon Williams instead of Prince Amukamra or a Quinn instead of Bowers that might become a positive step.

When teams have confidence in the Front Office then the evaluation process usually centers on a choice especially in the top 10.

They could play that game a thousand times and I would want to win every single time. Fact is if we drafting at spot 6, there still be scenarios where people who say "wish we had of lost vs ............."

Bottom line, it's a losers mentality. Players should never ever ever play to lose. I'd rather have a team full of players who wanted to kick the eagles tailfeathers then a team of players who played to lose because it might bring in a higher pick.

Geese, we drafted DeMarcus Ware at a lower position in first round...LOL.:star:

bsheern - a conversation about what the players should be doing and thinking and a conversaton about what fans hope for are two completely different things. I wanted them to lose a game back in 89, they did, got them 3 super bowls. Ill never regret wanting them to lose that. Now granted I didnt watch it and openly root play for play for bad things, but when I saw the score I was pleased.

Oh, such a Bad Posterior guy are we?

By the way, what carpet did you get scraped up from when approaching college?

Bear was dead on, in both statements...(1) DeMarcus Ware was recently picked at eleven, and (2) Always trying to win was a foundation concept for Bill Parcells.

Now, what program did you come up in that highlighted loosing?

Who exactly was being an "internet tough guy"?? I threatened no one, I merely expressed a strongly held belief... there was nothing personal aimed at anybody in here...

As for your suggestion that I'm wrong, I'll just say that I'd never want you as a teammate in any sport if you think that playing to win every time is not the right approach... IOW, I couldn't possibly care less about your opinion of my opinion...
