ya 'winner'.:lmao2:

My, you don't seem to like being consider a "loser"... in fact, you're downright touchy about it...

Perhaps rather than slinging mindless insults at those of us who are right, you should try being right yourself for once...

New England has the most ammo to work trades. There's a hundred ways to work a deal, but trading with NE could involve something like our 9 (1350 pts) for their 17 (950 pts), 60 (300 pts) and 92 (132 pts); total 1382. Dallas gains 32 pts in the deal. I would hate for that scenario to happen, because the draft is so much more of a crap shoot at 17.

The rookie salary cap, that supposedly both sides agree with, will change the points. You'll see more trading up.

.........are for message boards and ITG's (internet tough guys) Alas, you are WRONG.

no. ITG's are usually threatening you physically or the whole "if we were here in person you'd not dis me like this!"

all he did was point out a few facts of life you seem to have issues with.

therapy. it's not just for breakfast anymore.

Who exactly was being an "internet tough guy"?? I threatened no one, I merely expressed a strongly held belief... there was nothing personal aimed at anybody in here...

As for your suggestion that I'm wrong, I'll just say that I'd never want you as a teammate in any sport if you think that playing to win every time is not the right approach... IOW, I couldn't possibly care less about your opinion of my opinion...

Totally agree here.

Good luck with that then.

Every coach in the league switches to a 'win is secondary' approach to the preseason.

Learning and getting better are huge. Situations such as developing a young quarterback and a whole slew of other scenarios.

Your sentiment is all about the instant gratification. Typical of a baby boomer.

The Cowboys have also explored trade ups.

Sweeeeet! IMHO, that only means we're looking right at Patrick Peterson.

i think we play to win also.

and i hate the IGS and coined the phrase that defines them so swing and a miss.

Rewind back to 2004, there were 2 horrible teams playing in week 16 with identical 5-9 records and nothing to play for. They were the woeful Cowboys & Commanders.

The Commanders were winning for the 1st 59 minutes, but ole man Testeverde hit Crayton with a last minute TD to beat the Commanders. Even though it was a crappy season, I was very happy that day for the Cowboys TO WIN THE GAME.

The reason for bringing this up is that some folks in this thread would have wanted us to lose that game. If that would have happened, we may have ended up with the #9 pick that year and possibly picked Carlos Rogers, while the Commanders could have picked #11 and got Ware.

People can ***** and whine about things now, but the truth is nobody knows how these players will turn out long term. That is why you ALWAYS play to win the game.

That game in 2004 proves that point.

Of course they do, the games don't COUNT then... and the players are more focused on making plays so that they can make the team than they are winning the game...

You're comparing apples to oranges... but I think you know that...

Learning and getting better are huge.

And you do that in the preseason... unless, of course, you like losing fans...

Your sentiment is all about the instant gratification. Typical of a baby boomer.

Y'know, fuzz-meister, I just love how you think you know me, to the point that you presume that you know what I'm thinking...

You see, my sentiment is all about establishing a win at all costs attitude... which is typical of a COMPETITOR... but that's not unusual, I spent a good part of my youth, and my young adulthood, competing...

If you're not a competitor, I don't want you on my team... winning isn't just something that happens, not regularly, unless you're completely dedicated to winning... telling your boys it's OK to go out and lose a game is completely destructive to that goal...

I guess you think players can just turn their competitive juices on and off at will... I know better...

Bottom line, you look foolish when you try to speak about what I think... I can tell you after many, many arguments with you that you don't have the first flippin' clue what I'm thinking...

And for sure, I've never had a clue where you're coming from... I think you're what the old folks call a "queer duck", or what a lot of people today call a contrarian... but I surely don't know what makes folks like you tick (no, you're not a unique phenomenon, much as you might like to think you are)...

........so did I . But any of us saying that after the game were branded traitors or "bad" fans.: .................wonder what they all think now?

You would be a bad fan for doing so. I hate those that hope to lose during the regular season regardless the situation just so draft position improves.

Sorry, that ain't no fan. Besides, Jason wasn't going to have it any other way.
