Cowboys SS Keith Davis is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a third degree sprain of the MCL in his knee.

Davis is Dallas' third option at strong safety; Roy Williams and Pat Watkins are already on injured reserve. With FS Ken Hamlin banged up too, the 'Boys will be vulnerable to the pass on Sunday. Upgrade Eli Manning's matchup.

He has been part of the good run defense and He plays a huge role on special teams.

This just sucks.

Expect to see Henry at SS thankfully with Jenkins returning it will make the move a bit easier

We were going to see Henry there anyway even with Keith was healthy. Now that he and Hamlin are hurt it really puts a lot of hurt in our depth.

can we add K. Davis to the title, i thought it was Bigg Davis :(

great now we get to see them pass on us all day :|

with all our injuries in the secondary, the best defense then is a good offense...

...oh wait, Garrett is calling it...

never mind!

Might as well place him on IR with the rest of our team, and make a roster move

Yea I thought it was Leonard as well but I came into the thread hoping it was some Davis I didn't know about on the practice squad. I hate to see its Keith or Leonard.

wade told norm this morning that Hamlin wouldnt practice all week and there is a chance he wont play.

He also mentioned last week that alan ball is working at safety.

Its just a bad week to have safeties who are not good tough tacklers. This was the week we really need keith to bring that energy in the running game.

I agree! Any updates on Hamlin?

Nothing as of yet. Last report was he was wearing a protective boot and it is unknown if he will be able to go Sunday.

No worries, we got the wrecking ball - #31 - coming back this week!! :D

is this a time or what to test out A Henry at FS?

Henry has seen some action at S including times during the Steeler games.

This does stink. How many injuries can we take?

I'd almost forgotten about Ball there, though. He should be able to work at it all week with Jenkins (hopefully) back at corner. I actually think he'd be a pretty good safety because he's rangy and will tackle. He was the special teams player of the week two weeks in a row the game before this one.

So if Hamlin is okay we *might* get by all right... I'll really be worried if Hamlin can't go. And it doesn't sound good for him.
