What no way? I thought he was as good as gone?

In good time! Burnett is yipping at his heals. Als is not a 3-4 LB. He'd get thrown out of there like popcorn in hot oil. He's a Tampa Bay wus 4-3 type.

Who was listed #2 the first preseason game last year Nors?

Who started the season #2?

Here's a clue, it was not the same QB.;)

Singleton will start. He's one of few veterans in a pool of defensive rookies. Despite what you may think of him, I'll bet he's a great influence on the younger LBs

I agree - but they posted it and it looks pretty consistent. Canty, Burnett will eventually be starting.

Didn't Parcells say 4 rookies could start on Defense?

Ware
Spears
Canty
Burnett

Didnt Mickey just write that neither Barnes nor Bickerstaff will be available at FB on Sat., yet Barnes is listed as starting...?

Pretty boring if you ask me. Who cares about a depth chart on August 11? Talk to me on September 11.
HA! HA! Glen Carano, there is name I haven't heard in over 20 years. Welcome aboard.

Just looking at things, I think you can start to get a pretty good idea of where Bill is leaning in certain position battles.

Copper and Merritt are fighting hard for that #5 spot, I think. That could be important too, since Bill may not keep more than 5.

Tyson Walter and Ben Noll are in a fight for that backup guard spot. It's likely this player won't even dress for games anyway though.

I think Petitti will beat out Tucker as the fourth tackle. Again, he may not dress every game.

I think Darian Barnes, Lousaka Polite, and Erick Bickerstaff are all battling for one spot. They need to get healthy in a hurry.

I'm very interested in seeing how the D-Line sorts itself out. How much room will there be? The Johnson kid has shown some stuff. Apparently, Brooks has too. My guess is that Ratliff would have a leg up on them though.

Despite being listed at different positions, I have a feeling that O'Neil and Fowler may be fighting for one roster spot. I give the edge to Fowler.

I was a little surprised to see Reeves listed as the fourth corner ahead of Frazier and Thornton. Some of that could be due to injury. Regardless, I think all three of those guys I just listed make the team, and I think Reeves gets a lot of time as the safety in pass defense.

Izell Reese and Derek Pagel? Will Bill really keep 11 DBs? If not, is Lynn Scott in trouble? Looks like he, Reese, and Pagel could all be fighting for one spot. Or will an injury to Beriault take care of the roster squeeze.

It's pre-season folks....let's look at the depth chart now and compare it in just one little month.

At this point, who cares where anybody is.

BP likes O'Neil, who is a coach's son.

That Tampa wus 4-3 led them to a Superbowl.

I hope Burnett surpasses Singleton. He has the potential to be better than Al. That is good a good thing for the defense, but it doesn't mean you just cut Singleton. Al can be a good back up.

It is amazing how you never fail to try and twist the knife at the slightest inkling you may be right but you fall all over the floor attempting to avoid the burden of being incorrect when ever one of your Nostradamion prophices fail to materialize.

Blows my mind.
