Parcells has put DE Jay Ratliff at TE Situationally this camp. Canty over time will do the same, he played TE at UVA.

I say it will most likely be Spears. Much more experience at TE than Canty.

Singleton is too small to play ILB where Shanle is in the 3-4. Shanle and James are battling to start inside. Burnett will be our starter at OLB opposite Ware.

So you think a guy with a detached retina 6 months ago, is still in the process of regaining his sight is going to be in the mix at TE this season. Tell me again how this makes any sense. You think Parcells will seriously put him in a position to make him use his hand eye coordination this year to catch a football. We are lucky if he sees the quarterback much less a Bledsoe fastball in a game situation. Spears makes some sense situationally he was a high school all american at TE. Ratliff maybe but Canty?

Situationally - 6-7 290 pound monster target. He's cleared for contact and kicking *** so far. He can handle it. Ratliff is getting TE situational reps so far.

Sounds to me like a guy who isn't even exactly what he wants to do defensively yet (althought I am sure it is 3-4).

So, unless Parcells is contradicting himself, he didn't think they should have gone 3-4 sooner.

Sometimes I think you just convince yourself of stuff in your own mind.

Maybe singleton is ahead of burnett for this game cause Bill is looking real hard to see if singleton can play in this defense or cause he wants to look at something specific, You never know, but i beleive burnett starts in san diego.

I hope so. I also hope Singleton stays for depth purposes. Cap room is nice, you can afford established vet leaders as backups.
