Problem is we dont know how long he can play it how well?

Can't count on a guy like that at a critical position

At this point he had to be considered a non factor when it comes to personnel planning at DE

I don't disagree. While I think Tapper has a chance to be a very good player because of question marks on health and with Gregory question marks on character this team still has to be aggressive in going after a pass rusher. Best case is Gregory gets his act together and Tapper as well as Lawrence can come in healthy along with a top prospect in the draft or FA Cowboys could find themselves with a great DL with depth.

Gregory is unlikely to play at all next year
Tapper has a back condition that kept him out all year as a rookie
D Law is a JAG who is having his second back surgery in 2 years

If we count on even one of them to contribute significantly next year then we deserve the mediocrity that we will get

These are exactly the kind of flyers this team has taken on the DL and front 7 for years and this policy is the direct cause of our defensive suckitude

I'm not saying we count on them as I mentioned Dallas needs to be aggressive in getting pass rusher. My comment is while I do not count on these current guys should they come in and produce it would only make a weakness of the team stronger. Can't have enough guys who can get to the QB.

Hard to argue with any of that.

I predict that Tapper will be as effective as Ryan Russell.

If he is healthy I predict he will be far better and part of the rotation, he has too many positive traits not be.....staying healthy is a big "if" though.

Regardless if they can or can't.

I envision the team draft a DE early and signing a middling FA DE.
