The DB had Gallop's arm tied up. How is he suppose to get his arm free to make the catch? He snatched his arm free and Ramsey threw his arms up like he'd been pushed. So it actually wasn't OPI. Its defensive pass interference for tying up his arm.

Why a drop happens is often subjective. There are obviously clear bad drops (Drew Lock to Jerry Jeudy last night in the third quarter is about as clear as an example as you will see) and there are very difficult catches deemed to be drops because the receiver was not in the correct position or the throw was inaccurate. You also have to question why catches are dropped when it's the same QB and several different receivers. Is it on the QB or is in on all of the receivers? E.g. receivers might not have confidence in where the ball should be placed so they end up in the wrong position trying to give themselves a greater catch radius. Drops are not unconditional - there's often much more to it.

How about Matt Stafford to DeAndre Swift? Talk about easy drops.
