The Jerry drama affects the team more than anything, and has for 17 long years. Culture is the most important thing in any organization, and it comes from the top.

Garrett is trying his best to change it, but Jerry undermines him at every turn.

That is your opinion yet I see player now and former who love Jerry. Parcells himself has talked about Jones great desire to win. I don't condone the pics but you saying Jerry is undermining Garrett well that is your view. Jerry talking to reporters he did it when Jimmy was here he had his own show when Jimmy was and he talked he gave his views and delt with players and their contract he always has had input.

Wade Phillips has never been offered a head coaching job in the NFL, except from Jerry. Same for Campo, and other than the ding-dong Bills, neither has Chan Gailey. Wade was just an interim guy when others were fired or had to leave for medical reasons. Jerry likes cheap no-names rather than high-dollar guys that he has to relinquish power to because of their contracts.

So Wade frist experiance as HC was in Dallas? I did not know that. As for what Jerry likes you don't know you popping off with an opinion, most HC are coordinators many who will get their 1st shot as HC with little to no track record as HC, in other cases teams will hire retreads guys who have had oppertunities as a HC failed yet were able to get another chance. Bellicheck ring a bell? he was not successful in Cleveland and I know we will have the excuse for him but bottom line he was not winning until the job with the Pats

There is drama with every NFL camp. Get 90 20-something year old millionaires together and you're going to have stuff happen. Period.

But this is supposed to be the Yankees, Manchester United, the Lakers. The upstart coordinators are for Cleveland and Buffalo, not America's Team.

Jerry just won't share the spotlight with a bigtime coach, unless he's got a stadium to build.

You don't see other owners and GMs talking with the media on a daily basis about their teams. That is what the head coach is for. Jerry undermines Garrett by constantly whoring for the cameras.

In my opinion things have been pretty quiet the last few years, but this training camp seems to be filled with BS. If you look at what's gone on it seems a little ridiculous. So we have photos of Jerry from 5 years ago from some crazy dude trying to extort money. We have another reporter who makes an assumption about Dez and the Tyron contract. Then we have another reporter trying to stir the pot over Rolando. We also have the Scandrick suspension which the club knew about weeks ago. Also you have the crap with the party bus and the NFL officials. Yes this club creates a bit of drama but it appears that there are way too many "reporters" looking for a story. I think Dallas should limit the amount of reporters at practice it would probably help in controlling some of the satire reporting going on,

Parcells has never been shy about giving his views of people or an organization regardless if you like him or not. The differance is fans views we are not there we are not in the meeting we are not involved so the information we have is limited, yes we all have opinion and there is nothing wrong with that but the opinions are based on limited information and in the case of Parcells it is first hand information he was there. As for Garrett you could be right but again it comes down to hiring people you believe in and respect and once you do then you will back your guy which Jerry has you will give him time which Jerry has. It falls to Garrett to get it done, he has been given a fair shot at getting it done. I make no excuses for him he has to step up and get it done.

You danced right around the issue. You speak of Parcells never being shy about what he thinks...well, like you said, we really will never know. You did dance around JG's experience. No other GM takes him in that situation.

About the drama, Jason Garrett would say:

How is everyone? Good! Please pass those gold keychains around as a token of our apreciations to cover our team. The gals in the back of the room are press guides if you half lingering questions. As to some concerns about buses, we have a lot of people in the front office who are doing their best to give us the best opportunity to win. Buses take people safetly to and from places, so that is a plus. Buses also take children to museums and to rodeos, so buses are great places. As to our players, they know what is expected. If Mexico persuades a player to do wrong, shame on that country. Our player half owned up to what transpired and we wish him nothing but the best and await his awesome skills to return to us. We are a family and supportive of him and not of countries that make our players make mistakes. To that end, if an official wanders in to our bus to clarify the rules, we are all ears. We are all happy to be here and listen and offer hospitality to those doing very American things to provide us with NFL-quality entertainment. Any questions? Yes, pass around those keychains. We also half gold chains with the inital "P." Gals, if there are questions please set up sessions in the press bus.

That's what gets me so mad. Everytime I see Jerry at a press conference I want to throw something at my TV.

What's the big deal that's the most we have been entertained so far, maybe the writer is pissed Jerry didn't tell him what the secret sauce was?

Jerry is a hot mess. He always will be.

I have never cared that Jerry is a "hot mess". I doesn't affect me or bother me.

What does bother me and continues to linger in my subconscience is when Jimmy Jones said a few years ago that coaches and players under Jerry don't live in fear and that it is essentially a country club.

I hope that was bitterness speaking, however, I really doubt it...

There's certainly truth to that, but this organization still puts itself in vulnerable situations.

I just want to get them home and get to Week 1.

I agree, I just think they are helped by the satire media types looking for a story. Some of it shouldn't even be a "news story". I mean 5 year old pics? Or an NFL official hanging out on a party bus? I mean really? Like the guy hasn't hung with other teams? It's just mind boggling IMO

Chan Gailey, Dave Campo, Wade Phillips, Jason Garrett.......? This is the Dallas Cowboys, not the Toronto Raptors.

Parcells helped build a stadium. Never will that much power be relented again under Jerry.

And there's quite a difference between partying 24-year-old players and a drunken owner taking selfies in the bathroom with strippers.

Your right..the 24 year old players partying hurts the team much worse.........

Nobody would ever question that Al Davis wanted to win until the day he took his final breath. That is not the key point.

All owners and GMs do this. Or so I have seen posted here as "fact".

My column today on dallascowboysnation.com:

So what now?

The Cowboys have a well-paid cornerback who took a Molly, an owner who partied with a pair of Mollys, and a understudied son who partied with a busload of Mollys, not to mention the NFL head of officiating. Mix that stench with the aroma of a durian defensive performance, and you have fan hope draining like a Medieval bloodletting.

The annual Cowboys Camp Soap Opera has been in rare form. Amidst it all sits Jason Garrett and his staff, trying to implement a sense of football normalcy to a roster hopefully not built solely on offense.

Read the column here: http://dallascowboysnation.com/2014/08/cowboys-camp-soap-opera/

And that Folks...is the tradition of the Jerry Jones Dallas Cowboys..........were is the winning attitude....... were is pride....were is the rich history....its all in the HISTORY BOOKs........The Jerry Jones led ERA (1996 to present) is without doubt the worst years of the Cowboys franchise...
