Signed by Cowboys DE Ryan Davis signed; former Jacksonville Jaguar

Glad they are trying something, it was painfully obvious we needed some pass rush help. Hope he is a great addition and can help us forget about Gregory.

Not to go Mick Spags, but why was he available?

This guy >>>>> Thorton

Was looking for them to sign him the day he was waived. Guess they didn't want to guarantee his salary. Not like we could have used a pass rusher this weekend.

You know Stephen Jones is tight with Daddy's Wallet nowadays.

Agreed.

The whole Kyle Wilber secret weapon thing was not exactly cutting it.

That was certainly a goofy thing to say. They've tried Wilber at DE for the last few seasons and he's not a DE– it's that simple.

The other thing that I found aggravating was that the entire first unit of the DL was removed at one point and replaced by 4 second stringers– I was like "what the hell?"

The Giants proceeded to run the ball down their throats during that time.

Because God decided it was time for the Cowboys to return to the Super Bowl!
OR he is a spare that could not even make the lowly Jags team.

This is actually a solid signing.

Gus tried to convert Davis to an OLB, and it failed. Davis was cut.

But just remember that Davis is more of a situational player as a pass rusher. That's pretty much the role Davis played in recent years, and was solid with his sack numbers given the amount of snaps he played. He can fill that same role for us, as we desperately need pass rush help.

Jags were picked to make the playoffs by lots of football people.

They moved him to their "Otto" OLB position and he didn't take to it.

They have Skuta and Myles Jack at that spot. There was a numbers game in play I guess.

Waves of pass rushers. Waves.

I do like the signing, though. The guy has produced a bit, and should have his best football in front of him.
