Wow is that all? I knew Jerry clean up the joint but that is amazing.dcfanatic;3265328 said:He is only the second Cowboys player to be arrested since late 2005. Linebacker Anthony Spencer was held by police after a confrontation at an Indianapolis nightclub last year, but charges were later dropped.
Hoofbite;3265379 said:Dude, its all public perception. Downplaying it compared to a more serious crime is useless.
Its that simple. If you reflect poorly on the league, you get into trouble. If you reflect poorly on your boss, you likely find another employer.
Its pretty clear by now that you just don't put yourself in those positions and you'll be fine.
Doomsday101;3265383 said:I agree but should he get a warning for this considering Anderson has no prior incidents? at least none that I have heard about.

*sigh* Why can't these guys just behave?
Hoofbite;3265390 said:I dunno. Guess it depends. Is he all that great?
If the answer is no, why not take the opportunity to make an example out of him. If you think he can be easily replaced, why not just remind the team that this type of behavior (negatively reflecting upon the team) is unacceptable and find a FB.
If you can't replace him that easily, then maybe you do give him a break.
Doomsday101;3265403 said:If you cut him because there is someone better to take his place great I have no issue with that.
Cutting him because of this minor incident no I would not. Unless there is much more to the story than there is now.
As it stands now I would give him a warning about the consequences of his behavior but out right releasing him because of this no I wouldn't.
It seems you are willing to give a guy a free pass if he is a stud and your gone if your not?
I don't see it like that either he did something that warrants a dismissal or he didn't
You are correct.jobberone;3265400 said:Sounds like a total bunch of BS to me. If he had threatened anyone they would charge him with assault. They're doing like they ususally do. Charge him with the worse thing possible irregardless of the circumstances. I used to be a cop and this sounds like someone being a Dick Tracy.
The guy unknowingly had a traffic ticket. I don't think the guns are a problem like I initially thought. I believe Texas law allows you to carry firearms in your car. Someone correct me on that please if its wrong.

Hoofbite;3265412 said:Pretty much how it goes isn't? Good players can slide by while the crappy ones can't.
Doomsday101;3265423 said:Crappy players get cut for being crappy. I don't think Anderson is the greatest FB I do think he does a decent job for us as a FB and on special teams. If dallas can find a better replacement and upgrade the position I'm all for it but no I don't think bad or unlawful behavior is something good players should get away with while others are punished for doing less. Should Deion Anderson be treated like Pac Man Jones? Pac Man had a history dating back to college as far as I know Anderson does not
