For you everyone in this thing is guilty of something except the guy who will eventually plead out to some charge and will therefore be guilty because he's the only person who is being accused of breaking the law.

I'm not putting anything in any basket. I don't know if he's guilty or not. And, btw, that valet would also be a citizen with rights. But again that's if Deon even did what is said here to have broken that guys rights.

Most people carry with one in the chamber if they carry. It appears to be a fact that Deon's gun was found in the bushes. No matter what we want to believe it is absolutely up for debate as to how the gun could possibly have gotten there. It is not that unreasonable to believe that the valet set him up and it is just as reasonable to believe Deon was a moron, pulled the gun and then tried to hide it in the bushes. Both scenarios are entirely plausible and we just don't know what the truth is at this time.

It would be a shame to just kick the guy to the curb not knowing the truth.

Let the justice system do it's thing and save the reactions for the appropriate time.

He should get the axe just for the traffic warrant situation. Not taking care of your tickets when you clearly have the money to do so, simply expresses a "I don't give a crap about anything attitude." We don't need that on the team.

Oh and yes, some cops lie and some are just straight up dumb, but you need to look at the totality of the circumstances here and it ain't looking good for Cricket.

I don't think he is doing that. He is thinking like a defense lawyer and asking questions. Some cops are dirty and some plant evidence. A good defense lawyer uses that fact to raise doubts about a situation where there is less than clear evidence. That said, I don't think that strategy has a chance of working in this case. The guy doesn't even pay his traffic tickets when he is loaded, not evidence of the best use of judgment right there.
