Since there has been a holding call for Micah Parsons....FORTY-TWO QUARTERS???

Maybe it’s getting attention which is a step toward fixing it. Blandino telling me "it’s not intentional" doesn't make me fell any better about it.
He's lying, don't bet on pro sports.

So in other words, initiate the hold and don’t try to fight it and you will get the calls.

Sound like what Philly was doing against the Cowboys in the 2nd meeting which was complain to the refs once the hold occurred.

I say leave it there. It shows that Tweeter is ignorant of the rules while calling people idiots. My favorite internet occurrence out there. The only thing more perfect would be if he spelled idiot wrong.

RULE 12 PLAYER CONDUCT
SECTION 1 BLOCKING, USE OF HANDS AND ARMS
ARTICLE 7. ILLEGAL USE OF HANDS BY DEFENSE. It is a foul if a defensive player thrusts his hands or arms forward above
the frame of an opponent to forcibly contact him on the head or neck in a direct or prolonged manner.
Penalty: For illegal use of hands by the defense: Loss of five yards and an automatic first down.
The red parts are what did not happen. Decker went to block high and Parsons did a rip move underneath. The penalty is talking about a boxing jab type motion or aiming for someone's head and trying to control him by that. That first still shot is of a different play and, well, it's a still shot so it tells you very little about if the above penalty happened or not.
The quote within the post had a naughty word.

Well ya see, the hand is on Micah’s chin. And so, is it really in his neck or face? The chin isn’t part of the neck or face.

And is it forcible? I mean we see Micah’s head bent backward but was it really forcible? Maybe Micah was just decided to stretch his neck in the middle of rushing the passer. Maybe he had a crick in his neck. Maybe Micah’s head is just abnormally heavy and causes his neck to bend backward awkwardly. None of those things could be known from seeing a picture or a short video clip. So how can the poor refs be expected to make that judgment at full speed?
See the reply above.

your house scenario has to be one of the worst counterpoints i’ve encountered. (your zack martin comparison was up there)

certain things just are. “boy it’s really hot out” without looking at the temperature or comparing it to other days.

“this movie is incredibly sad”

“marcus rock sides with the refs”

etc etc

you’ve seen micah get held with your own eyes without a call. the former head of officiating and network officiating expert has as well. along with me, countless others, analysts, the players themselves.

question for you, have you come across anyone who doesn’t find the lack of holding calls against the premiere guys to be a big deal?
Yes, certain things just are. And typically, they have numbers (or anything) to support how they came to be that way. I like looking for those numbers if someone's trying to make a case, not "well, just 'cause."

I know. Hardly worth the potential concussion a guy might get.
I have several questions. Has nothing to do with your post i am quoting.

Do you think adding two refs will help, or just create more controversy. Or even one ref.

Also, remember when, I believe the line judge was near the LB position, then after a few ref injuries or being in the way of some plays. They moved him to the offensive back field. Even though it had been that way for ever at the time. Can’t remember how long ago they changed it. Has this made an impact in a negative way or was it a good move?

Do you think an added challenge may help, and it does not cost a time out if wrong, but is not taken away if right. Kind of like a free challenge that is ongoing as a 3rd challenge.

I think anything they can do to add more eyes would help. 7 refs trying to scope out 11 matchups loses every time, and has to. No way you can see everything, including multiple aspects like possession, football moves, both feet in, etc. and not miss things or completely flub something altogether. Put a ref or refs in a sky box and allow them to view screens and make calls down for flags. I think the current challenge system combined with the automatic reviews inside 2 minutes and reviewing all scores works well as is. Just 1 extra challenge per team is 8 potential stoppages for review in addition to those other ones. That's too much, IMO.

That makes it even more suspicious.. Blind-ino. does not have much credibility to me.

your analogies are absolutely horrible. there’s no context to your house as compared to one of the most dynamic pass rushers in HISTORY getting no calls.

the surprising nature of the conversation is the most impactful pass rusher in the league getting minimal to no calls. i already addressed your semantic aversion to “surprising” doubling down on it and with absolutely terrible analogies just further illustrates your lack of credibility.

“zack martin barely has sky holding penalties so why is it hard to believe no one’s held micah?” you’re talented at bootlicking the refs and deciphering the rule book, but zero critical thinking beyond that
His Zack Martin excuse holds no logical weight because there are no complaints that Martin has been getting away with holding for 42 straight quarters, nor are there comprehensive videos documenting it like there is with Micah.

Those of you trying to argue the "whattaboutism" of other elite pass rushers also not getting calls are wrong. Nobody else is getting screwed like Parsons and the Cowboys.

So that has been nuked from orbit, and you'll need a new red herring.

It is intentional. Remember that Tony Romo was 2000% less likely to draw a roughing call than Brady and Rodgers. League policy.
