If we end up with both these guys with the 2 first round picks and draft best available running back in the 2nd round. will that make the Cowboys an extremley improved team?

I am not saying that I am a Hall fan but to bring him to a team that already has Newman and Henry there would be no better set of corners in the NFL.

Cowboys would also have the best WR corp in my opinion.

If you draft a corner no matter how good of a prospect that prospect may be the leanring curve is always there ...

Has there really been serious talk about acquiring either of them?

Hall is not worth a 1st rd pick. That is what the Falcons may get but I think any team sacrificing a 1st for Hall will regret it.

I dont think he is worth a high first rounder but Dallas 2nd first is pretty low

Most I would even consider is a 2nd and that would be tough Hall is a lot of talk but not that great of a CB in my opinion.

I do not know how serious but there has been talk , where there is smoke there is usually something to it whether it happens or not depends on many varibles.

salary cap I would think would be Cowboys biggest concern but if you look back at what D.Sanders and B.Dawkins said about Cowboys making a huge splash this would make most sense.

Even if us fans do not like Hall because he comes off as somewhat of a punk that dosent mean that players and ex players wouldnt see this as a coup

Yes on Roy Williams, no on DeAngelo Hall. We already have one overpaid, overrated guy in our secondary. We don't need another.

I agree about Hall but what if Dallas thinks like in the Julius Jones draft that the RBs when they pick in the first are the same calibar that will be available when they pick in round 2?

this is a possibility RBS very deep with 2nd tier players

im not in any way saying I am advocating this but I do think its a possibility .teams with higher picks in round one probably wont and shouldnt do this but where Dallas picks could be perfect for these moves

Then avoid Hall and draft a CB and take the RB in the 2nd. I think in the end some of these CB in this draft in my view have a bigger upside to them than Hall has shown. As for Roy Williams I would be interested in him, he will be entering his 5th season in the NFL and if he came to Dallas at least he would have a very good QB throwing to him, something Williams has not seen much of in Det.

For me I love the draft and always think that team drafting should take best player available regardless of position.

I do not like trading draft picks for players .
wear and tear on players that have been in the league also they are being traded for a reason and baggage is not needed .
also free agency is relevant in todays NFL

that being said I think what I suggested is possible and I do not prefer this but I would not be overly upset.

the Cowboys would at least be getting young players and will know exactly what they are getting

I just don't want to see Dallas give up a 1st for Hall because I don't think he is worth that.

I wish FA and the draft will hurry up and get here.

This time of year and trade scenario talks give me tired head.

u mean like hall wouldnt have to cover for a whole yr bcause dallas doesnt lack the passrush that atlanta does? doesnt matter how good u are, if u get no pressure ur going to gt beat, if newman was in atlanta and hall in dallas, you'd be saying the exact same thing about newman in this situation, while praising hall

If you are crazy about Hall good for you I would not give up a 1st rd pick for him. Evidently you would and you are entitled to your own opinion I just do not share it. He is a loud mouth who is not that good in my view!

i didnt say i liked him, im just trying to point out to you that theres a big difference in talent on both defenses. its no secret baiey started to look average this yr with the injuries that have gotten to that defense in denver too.

i wouldnt give uop a 1st for him either, but dallas might not have to. atlanta might just release him anyways.

I'm not opposed to getting Hall I only said I would not give up a 1st rd pick to get him. If he joined the team tomorrow I would pull for him but I don't think Hall is nearly as good as he thinks he is.

Latin, you seem to forget that Newman has done VERY well with a pass rush that up to this year USUALLY STANK.
