Hall is one of the last CBs I would ever be interested in. I do not like his attitude and I think the hype about him is ridiculous. I can't believe anyone thinks he is very good. Mostly people just recognize the name and think that must mean something. In Hall's case, not really.

How much do I dislike him? I'm rooting for the Commanders to trade away draft picks for him.

lol, idont really lik him much either. was happy when TO spat in his face. but i dont think he's as bad as people here think he is either. i dont see the difference between him and springs, and people here wouldnt mind springs in dallas.

im hoping for florence

If we end up with both these guys with the 2 first round picks and draft best available running back in the 2nd round. will that make the Cowboys an extremley improved team?

I am not saying that I am a Hall fan but to bring him to a team that already has Newman and Henry there would be no better set of corners in the NFL.

Cowboys would also have the best WR corp in my opinion.

If you draft a corner no matter how good of a prospect that prospect may be the leanring curve is always there ...
Not a serious scenario BUT I would take that deal. Not so much because of Hall (although I believe w/ solid people around him, he would finally shine) but because of Roy Williams. He'd be perfect for our team. Then we go RB w/ our 2nd rounder (Jamaal Charles - Texas) and I'd be very happy.....

Well, I can see there is no point in continuing this. What I can see is that Braveheart is the kind that likes to throw out the hidden insults. What's funny is, he does the same thing he accuses me of doing. Not reading the entire post and only zeroing in on one part. Yes, Hall gets beat by the elite receivers. The problem is, he gets beat far too often by the mediocre ones, too.

I never said Hall was complete crap. That's you, trying to put words in my mouth. He is in fact a good corner. What I did say was he wouldn't be worth what it would cost to bring him here. Let some other G.M. overpay for his services. He is more hype than substance.

I quoted you mainly for your comment about the elite corners thing not mattering, which was completely pointless for you to say. It was a perfect illustration of what I'm pointing out. That even the best CBs ever get beaten.

The whole post wasn't just for you it was a generalization about the general attitude that cause he gets beat by guys like T.O. and Chad that means he's crap. Not that you said he's crap.

I didn't put in any hidden insults. I'm pretty sure they're out there in the open. Thanks.

This whole thing is so silly because people bag on him for getting beaten by elite recievers but then turn around and are all "OMG. I'd love to have Springs." Despite the fact that not only is he 10 years old but he ALSO gets beaten by T.O. and other elite recievers. It's a silly argument.

And show me where a mediocre set of recievers routinely eat him up. I'll admit I don't watch him every single week but when I have seen him I haven't seen him eaten up by mediocre recievers.

I get the threadstarter. Many corners in the upcoming draft will have more upside - but Hall is readymade and minimizes the "learning curve" factor. He may not be a premiere talent - but he is serviceable, ready-to-go, and a nice upgrade over the hopefully departing #35.

It all comes down to pricetag. I'd throw our second-rounder at him.
