I do not know how serious but there has been talk , where there is smoke there is usually something to it whether it happens or not depends on many varibles.

salary cap I would think would be Cowboys biggest concern but if you look back at what D.Sanders and B.Dawkins said about Cowboys making a huge splash this would make most sense.

Even if us fans do not like Hall because he comes off as somewhat of a punk that dosent mean that players and ex players wouldnt see this as a coup

There's been talk about getting Hall and Williams BOTH together--just look at this thread!

I wish FA and the draft will hurry up and get here.

This time of year and trade scenario talks give me tired head.

You wish this every offseason.

Just embrace the madness.

Trade talk surrounding Roy Williams isn't new at all. The price is a 2nd round pick. Maybe we throw a late rounder in also. That deal might be done.

D. Hall is another story. Why any team would consider trading for him is beyond me. Especially in light of the news Atlanta might release him.

It's the offseason version of embracing the hate.
With that said I think we will rue the day we don't trade for Hall and sign Ty Law for FS.

Due to the fact that they're both young, and they've already got experience these two will be able to do a lot more for you, right away, than a rookie will.

hall, as I've said in the other thread, is not the best CB in the league but he is most certainly top 10 and that is far better than you're likley to get out of any rookie you draft for at least 2 years. No rookie is going to come in and be top 10 in their first year.

Roy Williams would no doubt be better than any of the recievers you could snag in the draft this year, outside maybe Malcom Kelly (Long term) but I don't think he'll be available to us anyway.

I think this would be a very nice set of picks ups, over rookies, for us but I doubt, very seriously, that we're going to have either.

Odds on Hall getting his popcorn ready...or would that be a hankie to take care of practice spittle?

Yeah, DeAngelo Hall is fast. And stuff.

Huge contract. Huge reputation. Neither deserved.

So would you not want Champ Bailey either? He's been killed by T.O. when they've faced.

Perhaps you'd have passed on Green, Deion, and Aneas Williams as well cause they routinely got their butts handed to them by Irvin, Rice, and Cris Carter.

Again...I don't know how many times this can be said in how many threads, but trying to make a guy out to be lousy because he gets beat by an elite reciever is beyond stupid.

It's a nice gif and stuff, but I don't think there's a corner in the league who can hang with TO in full stride with no safety help.

Not one - although I'd like to see Newman and Asomugha attempt it.

Hall is one of the most overrated players in the league. I wouldn't give a first rounder for him.

Yeah, T.O. is an elite receiver. Hall is not an elite corner. And using the Bailey, Green, Deion, Aneas, example is absurd. Hall is not even close to being in their league. And if you think he is, there is no point in continuing this. Good and even great corners get beat. We know that. Hall gets beat. A lot. He is still living off of his college reputation.

I mentioned two huge things already. Salary and reputation. It would be a crying shame if we were to add a third to the mix. Mistake. Which bringing him here would be for what it would cost.

I'm not saying Hall is a terrible CB. But he's not worth the price he will cost.

*Sighs* One more time folks. Reading, it's fundamental. I have said, more than once, that he's not the best corner in the league, and that I'm not saying he's as good as any of those guys. I SAID, again if you read it all and not just part, that even ELITE corners get beat by ELITE recievers.

So, for all those people proclaiming him to be complete crap cause T.O. or Chad Johnson can beat him had better have thought that Green, Williams, Champ Bailey, and Deion are all/ were all complete crap cause the elite recievers of their time (for Champ of the current day) beat them like rented mules as well.

He's not the best corner in the league, there I said it once more, but he's EASILY top 10 in the league and that is EASILY a significant upgrade over Reeves and it would be an upgrade over Henry.

And, again, as I said right from the beginning I'm not one whose going out there and saying this move is possible, or that we should go after it, but if it were to turn out legit and some how happened I'd most certainly not be upset about it in the least.

Well, I can see there is no point in continuing this. What I can see is that Braveheart is the kind that likes to throw out the hidden insults. What's funny is, he does the same thing he accuses me of doing. Not reading the entire post and only zeroing in on one part. Yes, Hall gets beat by the elite receivers. The problem is, he gets beat far too often by the mediocre ones, too.

I never said Hall was complete crap. That's you, trying to put words in my mouth. He is in fact a good corner. What I did say was he wouldn't be worth what it would cost to bring him here. Let some other G.M. overpay for his services. He is more hype than substance.

What I remembered about his second year is that Newman had a meniscus injury to his knee and by the end of the season when it was better he was once again eating WRs alive.

Baliey is over rated as well. He has had a couple of great years but he has also had severa mediocre years.

so how come now, newman is still playing further off of wr's then henry? its nothing to do with an injury, he just isnt as good in bump and run. everybody complains about both him and henry all throughout the season, but when a arguement like this comes up about why he doesnt play up on wr's in the offseason all of the sudden the injury excuses come out

Hall is one of the last CBs I would ever be interested in. I do not like his attitude and I think the hype about him is ridiculous. I can't believe anyone thinks he is very good. Mostly people just recognize the name and think that must mean something. In Hall's case, not really.

How much do I dislike him? I'm rooting for the Commanders to trade away draft picks for him.
