Stryker44 gets my vote for uninformed post of the month.

Sherman was All-Pro in 2012. He played CB at Stanford in 2009 and 2010. He was #50 in a list of top players coming into 2013.

To what do you attribute this improvement? Especially when he plays for a soft-rah-rah type guy like Pete Carroll? A 5th rounder out-performing more experienced 1st rounders like Deangelo Hall? What??

Are you being serious? You must be because no rational person would spew the garbage that you're saying seriously. So what if he is a 5th rounder? What kind of argument is that?

Okay, I'm going to assume this isn't sarcasm.

Sometimes you get beat. Happens to everyone.

But Sherman is a 6'3" corner that doesn't have the typical downfalls of a guy his size. He can play both zone and man at an elite level. It's unusual for a guy his size but he's better at zone than he is at man coverage, but he's still better at man than anyone not named Revis.

He plays the right side of the field, predominantly, but when Browner is out, he played the left side equally as well.

He doesn't really have any weaknesses, although smaller receivers typically give him a little more trouble.

He shut his man down... I mean complete and utter shut-down where the receiver had a snowball's chance somewhere between 90--100 times last year on around 400 snaps. For reference sake to show just how ridiculous this is, a normal GREAT year would see a CB shut his man down around 65 times.

So he shuts his guy down completely around 25% of the time and is in position around 75%--85% of the time, and his passer rating against last year was 41, which was 2nd best for guys who played at least half of all the defensive snaps. Casey Hayward was the only person to finish ahead of him, but he played almost 300 snaps less.

You put to much effort forth arguing a guy who has no knowledge of the game and assumes real football is like madden and their rating change when u switch positions. Lol

Lol love when guys get caught in their disinformation and do one of three things

1. Disappear
2. Backpedal
3. Realize they were wrong but they have committed and keep it up for ten more pages.... Then disapear

Earl Thomas....sucked before the Seahawks
Kam Chancellor...sucked before the Seahawks...5th rounder
Richard Sherman...nobody before the Seahawks....5th rounder
Brandon Browner...nobody before the Seahawks....undrafted free agent

Yet they have the best supposed secondary in the NFL. WHAT?

D. Hall from a Commander fan POV:

With Hall, you know exactly what you're getting....and what you are not getting. You will get a guy that tries to make plays on the ball more so than the receiver. The fact that he is usually the guy that covers opposing teams number 1 receiver ie, C. Johnson, Dez Bryant etc; etc. he is going to be thrown at more than the db's covering # 2 receivers. As such, the odds dictate that he will make the big plays with more regularity because he will have more opportunities. Those same odds also dictate that he will give up more big plays for the very same reasons.

You are not going to get a shutdown corner in Hall, as a QB you take your chances...unless you're Jay Cutler and you throw 4 pics in one game to the guy. What Hall lacks in physical ability he makes up for in experience. He's very good at being able to get away with often times looks like a hold or pass interference, but when he gets embarrassed he very easily loses his composure and can easily be coaxed into doing something stupid like hitting or pushing or excessive jaw jacking with to the point where he causes us a very stupid penalty. I understand that's the competitive nature and all, but he's got to be smarter there.

Coming off of the bye, Hall should be well rested as he is not a spring chicken anymore...that fact coupled with the fact that you guys are coming off of a game that I'm sure was very taxing both mentally and physically, he should enjoy some success out there against whomever he is covering. Should be a great game, I'm looking forward to it!

Solid corner? Maybe.

But he's dirty. I think I vaguely remember him trying to take out DeSean Jackson earlier this year.

You are making me a fan of his by telling this story. I like anybody that goes after that punk Jackson.

Looks like Hall is covering Dez again. I can't stand this guy. He's one of the dirtiest players in the entire NFL and he'll do ANYTHING to take someone out.

"DeAngelo Hall is expected to shadow Dez Bryant in Sunday night's Week 6 matchup.
Hall is a physical corner despite his 5-foot-10, 195-pound frame and held up well against Dez late last season. Still, Bryant has had plenty of historical success when facing the Skins. Over the last two years, he's averaging 4.7 catches for 86.7 yards with three touchdowns in four games against Hall. Bryant is an excellent bet to get in the end zone again come Sunday. Oct 9 - 9:14 AM"

Mark Tuinei... rookie Free Agent made the cowboys as a defensive tackle
Nate Newton.... rookie free agent, cut from the Commanders, played in the USFL, signed by the cowboys
John Gesek... 10th round draft pick
Kevin Gogan... 8th round draft pick
Erik Williams... the third, 3rd rounder Dallas took in 1991
Mark Stepnoski... 3rd rounder

Yet they were key components of arguably the greatest offensive line of all time that won two superbowls?

Romo is playing like i've never seen him play before.
If dez gets blanketed. Oh well...Romo will find someone else.

Austin [when healthy] whether you like him or not..if able to stay on the field would be a number 1 wide receiver on a great deal of teams..I trust our other guys enough to get the job done.I hope they're anticipating a lot of passing , Murray is on track for a good year..so we should spread them out..keep the skins on their hills..and then pound them into submission with our run game.

I like the chances of Dez making plays in that match up. I always have and I always will.

What's the big deal about Richard Sherman? Dude was not even TRAINED as a cornerback in college. Dude is not even an All-Pro. I think he sucks and just gets alot of press because of his talking smack.
