You're right, Hall more than likely is just being honest. They go to war in their matchups. Only Calvin and MAYBE Julio give you that 60 minutes of pain.

I can't understand why posters don't grasp this. He's just giving his comments about the players he has faced and ranking them accordingly. And with 11 years of experience facing the best of the best, despite what people think, he IS an expert, at least more so than posters who haven't had to cover Moss, Rice, TO and Megatron. He's not giving advice on how to manage the salary cap or a dissertation on nuclear physics or even which toothpaste gets your teeth the whitest.

Hall isn't even playing corner anymore so the ulterior motive angle is weak.

I didn't say that was his motive for saying that, I was just remembering past games and now people saying Hall wasn't ever that good of a corner.

You can do a lot worse than overpay for one of the best players in the league. At least it's Dez and not a injury prone linebacker.

What's interesting is that Moss, CJ and Owens all got paid pretty well. Jerry Rice was never the guy who got that kind of deal if I recall. This is not justification that WRs should not get paid but I do think it's interesting that of all of those guys (excluding Dez of course) the one who won all the rings is the one who was probably not in it to get paid all the big money.

if Rice played in 2015 he'd be the highest paid receiver in the league.

Hall is a fan of Dez, it's no secret those 2 have great respect for each other.
