Dear Jason Witten

Since this is all about my favorite cowboy I just wanted to let everyone know that Witten is on the cover of the jcpenny's big and tall catalog. When I saw the catalog on the table I had to do a double take cuz I wasn't expecting him to be on the cover. All it has is his autograph and it says all pro tight end I believe. He's all decked out in jcpenny's clothes of course and he's looking really handsome. Just an fyi if anyone cares.

*I* said he's dropped passes. To me, it seems he's dropped more this season than I've seen him drop in previous seasons. Whether you blame it on a drop by Witten or a bad pass by Romo, it's still a drop. Because even with bad passes, Witten's always had good enough hands to wrangle those in.

He just looks a little off in that sense (the drops).

You are not Deion Sanders, or Barry Sanders for that matter. You do not and can not juke or fake out opposing tacklers. You are a North/South guy after the catch. There is no question you are the best tight end in the league. You block, catch, and run better routes than any tightend in the league.

However lately you seem to think that you have the ankle breaking ability of felix jones. You do not. Just catch the ball, turn up field, and run as hard as you can. When approaching a would be tackler lower your shoulder and run him over. You are not going to fake anyone out so just try and run them over.

Except for the fact that Witten ISN'T the top YAC for TE's.


I didn't believe that when I read it, and I sure as hell don't believe it now after seeing it's not true.

For TE's with at least 20 receptions, he's 16th in YAC/Rec. averaging 3.2

I love witten too but he is right. Anyone who watches the game should think the same thing...it irritates the hell oout of me. He could gain 3-4 yards if he would just fall forward but he never does. He's the best te in the league but he should realize his limitations..

The fact that people are actually agreeing with bashing an All-Pro, First Ballot Hall of Fame Tight End is completely beyond all logic and reason.
