I'll take a stab at it.

No doubt, it's a trend, but a combination of things will reverse it this year.

The title of your thread is a clue -- confidence. I think previous teams eventually wilted late in the year under Parcells' cynical, abrasive way of handling the players. Also, I think the Parcells staff didn't make enough adjustments as the season progressed, so when December rolled around, the team had become very predictable.

The new coaching staff has energized this team, which happens to have more talent than any Dallas team since the mid-1990s.

So, I think it's a combination of a different coaching philosophy, both strategically and emotionally, plus added talent.

After the crap he was pulling the other night. I honestly am surprised he is still allowed to post here as much crap stirring he keeps doing to get our members to bicker back n forth at him.

That's what happens when you're getting the double torture of realizing your team has no Master Plan along with the agony of recognizing that your arch enemy very well does have that plan that your fanbase believed your Master would be able to bring back.

That's it. All you have to do is look at how we did the second time we faced the same opponent in a season. From 2003-06, we went 0-6 against the ones that finished with winning records.

Last year the Bears were the best team in the NFC Conference.

Last year the Packer won 8 games total.

Last year the Chargers went 14-2.

Last year the Ravens went 13-3.

Anyway...detect a trend?
