That's what happens when you're getting the double torture of realizing your team has no Master Plan along with the agony of recognizing that your arch enemy very well does have that plan that your fanbase believed your Master would be able to bring back.

Climb aboard the bandwagon.

It's not too late to take a shower, throw your burgundy-colored crap in the trash and repent.

Then, go to amazon.com and buy Frank Luksa's book, "Cowboys Essential." Read up and you'll have enough basic knowledge on the team's history to almost fit in.

Could someone explain to me what last year has to do with this year?

Last year the Bears were the best team in the NFC Conference.

Last year the Packer won 8 games total.

Last year the Chargers went 14-2.

Last year the Ravens went 13-3.

Anyway...detect a trend?

But the Foreskins were 5-11 last year and they're on pace for 5-11 this year too....:lmao2:

Your team typically gets one win in December per year. Why the confidence based on the way your team has gone down the toilet in December as of late?

Havent read all the responses to you, but I just perused the first 7 or so and the response is understandably hostile. But, tell you what, Ill shock you and give you an agreeable response. Youre right, we have tanked, choked if you will, 2 straight years in the final quarter of the season. Is it Parcells fault? Will Wade change that? It should be interesting to watch. My gut feeling is that it will be different this year. But it doesnt happen until it happens. As much as I would hate you to be able to gloat, if we lose 3 of 4, heck even 2 of 4, you have a right to come back and say I told you so. Our somewhat easy schedule doesnt mean much either. We played the worst team in football in our final game last year, in Irving, with a chance to win the division and we lost. So get your popcorn ready, as Mr Ego likes to say.

The hostile response has little to do with this particular thread as much as it has to do with the OP's body of work as a poster on this forum thusfar.

There was nothing magical about the December collapses. We just weren't very good to begin with. To be considered good you must have consistency, not potential. And our record simply caught up with us. *shrug*

Because we have broken alot of norms this season

*11-1 is franchise record

*32 td is franchise record for a dallas qb

*We are undefeated in our division and conference with all four remaining games in conference two of wich are divisional.

any other questions?

Also how does 5-7 feel?

HogsLegendsRHistory, let me flip the script. You've seen us fall apart in December the last two years, at least. You for some reason support our most hated rival. What's your honest prediction for how we finish this season?

I'm more pissed then anyone about how the Commanders team has lost toughness and resolve since 2005. The Master Plan seems to have been lost.

Doesn't mean I can't be happy if you guys don't make it to the promised land either :)

we have won more games than your franchise in december over the last 6 years and you are here talking crap.

Skins fans are the best.

So since it is the offseason for you which free agent do you think you will sign first?

Better QB than Dallas has had in the past. Coaching adjustments are far better. And while the defense does have some holes, they do stop the run, they do sack and pressure the QB and they do force turnovers (leading the league in INT's). Under Zimmer Dallas struggled to get to the QB which in turn caused them to struggle to cause turnovers and because Zimmer couldn't make a coaching adjustment, the defense struggled in the second half of every season he coached here.

1. we aren't playing a stagnant D that doesn't adjust, we're an attacking D
2. we have Greg Ellis healthy and productive, which he hasn't been in the 2nd half of seasons since forever
3. our Dline rotation keeps the front 3 guys fresh
4. we have the 2nd ranked offense in the league, in which we're aggressive
5. we have a great kicker

I don't see a December collapse here

I think another thing that a successful team/program that goes along with that confidence is an expectation and attitude. During the peak years of the Commanders, all fans honestly believed after a year of not making the Super Bowl, that it was just a matter of a short time span before we went again.

Now I am left with the hope that the Commanders win another Super Bowl...in my lifetime. 16 years is way too long, but its tough to see that changing soon without a radical change in attitude.

My biggest fear, and its a credit to Parcells/Phillips/Jones, is that the Cowboys are built to be strong for a number of years, and that expectation/attitude will be strong in your franchise for a number of years, more if you continue to make good personnel decisions.

We were 4-5 in December the last two seasons.

The four wins were against teams that had a combined 36-28 record. In fact, every team we beat in Dec the last two seasons had a winning record when we faced them.

The five losses were against teams with a combined 44-36 record.

Our Dec opponents the last two seasons were a combined 80-64.

This year so far, the teams we'll face in Dec are a combined 21-27.

Believe it or not I hope we trade our 1st rounder for *gasp* a lower round first and another pick.

We need an attitude shift in personnel...time to rebuild...especially that the emotional leader and most talented player on our defense is now departed. If only everybody had Sean's attitude, people would fear our defense.

Since he's gone, the only keepers long-term on our defense are Landry, McIntosh, and Montgomery. On offense, Cooley, Campbell, Randle-El, Betts or Portis, Heyer. That's it. Everyone else is either old or not productive for what we are paying them.

Honestly, 14-2 or 13-3. You probably lose the last game to the Commanders if you're resting you're starters. Eagles are going to be angry and wanting to put a hurting on you after they were embarrassed at the Linc earlier in the year, I see that as a game you may lose as well.

I truly don't think the Cowboys second stringers would lose to Washington.

The Cowboys are a very deep team, particularly along the lines. I honestly think our backups could beat that squad you guys have in Washington.

No lie.

Excellent suggestion.

I believe, however, that the standard deprogramming protocol calls for a minimum of a dozen showers.
