December Touchdowns

The 20 offensive TD is a new regular season record for December. It's also a new post-merger record for the last four games of a season, breaking the old mark of 19, set by the 1971 Cowboys and tied by the 2011 Saints.

The all-time record for the season's last four games is 21, held by the 1953 49ers.

I guess that shatters the "can't play well in December" narrative :)

It makes you realize why Garrett didn't want to disrupt the rhythm by sitting everyone for a week.

Unbelievable number.

if the loss of the players is visible, yea, once again Garrett has shown most what they are already knew and others what they keep avoiding. PS, records dont win you Super Bowl rings.

I realize this might not fit your agenda, but wanting to keep a white-hot offense on the field isn't the most ludicrous of goals.

A lot of players have been on radio recently talking about this very thing, citing how you don't really want a break when you've caught your rhythm.

Reality is not an agenda, so be a grown up and speak that way. If it comes down to a bad decision, that has been on of many garretts MOs, dont be irked if hes called out on it. He does it , not me.

The players arent coaching the team, they are playing. Media tends to do this, its not just limited in intelligence capacity but how to go about things. I dont need to hear from players if a coaches decision was good or not. Win or lose they still get paid, Losing based on that decision doesnt change the fact the bad decision wasnt made just one year, but every year. So players citing if its good or bad, doesnt really do it for me. They players dont get paid to coach. They get paid to play. So if yet this turns out to be bad yet again. is not my wanting it or rooting for it. Its Garrett once again remidning people hes not ready for this job. Some understand, others go around using buzz words other people gave them. Either way, the loss will land at Garretts feet and others will sweep it under the rug.

To which my valid point, notice that wasnt agenda, records, do not win you super bowl rings.

now does that 20 include the defensive TD from the Skins game?

Not sure what part of his post you felt was NOT grown up but that is irrelevant. Telling someone to act like a grown up is the same as telling them to stop being childish. Which isn't kool at all. Let's all be adults.

Holy Moly... I didn't realize it was so many TD's.

The team just needs to stay focused and they can punch their ticket to Green Bay. Detroit won't be easy but Dallas should win if they play like they have been.

Sheesh. The Cardinals are in trouble. Only playoff team in the bottom half, and almost at the end too.

I think the players just might be more qualified to say what is and what isn't good coaching than you, I or anyone else who posts on this board.

You're right in saying that records don't win rings, but that doesn't mean statistics don't demonstrate the ability of a team, the trend in the quality of its play or that we can't discuss the great things our team has done this past month in the context of its prospects going forward--or any other context we want, for that matter.

Lighten up! Be happy! This Cowboys team hasn't won any rings yet, but they ARE good. They DO have a chance to make a run at a championship. The numbers say the Dallas O is the hottest offense going into the playoffs. Nothing wrong with getting excited about that!

im very happy, but that doesnt disqualify that Garrett risked the team. He is not leading the NFL in the stats that matter, good decisions.. So we will see if he made one, and he could have very well have made a better decision. Its debatable but not unknown for our HC. it is however not an agenda, to which i got irked at. Its a fact. Garrett has made some very bad bone headed mistakes. Thats fact, not agenda driven. At least not personally by me.

Thats your OPINION

Do you always speak in black and white even when it's not warranted?

Do you know the difference between subjective and objective?

That's a serious question.

The answer to whether it is right or wrong to sit your key guys week 17 is as subjective as they come. But your narrative suggests there was only a single objective way to handle the situation. And that Garrett got it wrong. Despite many of the games greatest coaches doing the exact same thing.

Please try and be less naive.
