FRISCO - San Francisco 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel apparently still wants to be traded. And instead of showing up at his team’s OTAs, he just showed up in Dallas….

Hanging out, at least for a moment, with Cowboys QB Dak Prescott.

Samuel is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is hoping to be paid top dollar before the start of the 2022 season.

Additionally, it appears that Samuel likes the idea of being associated with the Cowboys as earlier this off-season he “liked” a tweet suggesting he make his way to America's Team.

What to make of “Deebo in Dallas”?

I would not give more than a 4th round pick for him. I also think that James Washington kinda fits the roll of a Deebo Samuels in Dallas.

However, if it means finally moving away from Noah Brown than I'm ok with this trade.

Washington (nine free agents), the Giants (six), and Eagles (six), whether by chance or by design, have all built teams that rely much more on outside talent, be it in the form of free agents, players brought in via trade, waiver wire pick ups, etc. And that difference is especially pronounced at the top of their roster.

Funny but that is the problem in this league.
Money so good that I just need to hang out for a couple years and be set.
The Frank Gores of this league are forever gone unfortunately.

Little Enos has probably already offered the Niners a conditional 7th in 2034.

Be honest with yourself. Would Dallas pay Deebo top dollar?

It doesn’t matter, because they won’t, and should not give up the draft capital to get him.
However many fans will over look that part and just complain that they would not pay him. But yet they complain they gave up Cooper for some change as they overlook dumping the salary.

Just crazy stuff.

“Building through the draft” may have been a thing 30 years ago. Today, teams continue to build through the draft as much as they can, but successful teams aggressively use free agency too. And for these teams, free agency is not just about patching roster holes left over from the draft, but it is about acquiring key talent that can elevate the team to the next level.

This is where Jerry is locked in a time warp and Stephen is in full fledged support of his Dad.

Really? Depends on what the negotiated cost becomes...

Dallas has been to the playoffs 4 of the past 8 years on the basis of slow and drafting eventually gets there.

The truth is now, the hard and fast teams are having quick turn-arounds.

All that glitters is not gold. It's taken Jerry 26 years and counting to figure that out. And here you guys are acting like him. Slobbering over the possibility of a shinny new toy. Deebo has an injury history and a problem with drops. But no one cares, because he was drafted in the first round and he can run the ball.

Samuels or Pollard...you can only sign one. Who would you choose?

When you want attention come to Dallas. Let the speculation begin. Never going to happen because of the what the 49ers would want and what Deebo is going to want.

are we going to make the same mistake twice? trade for a WR, give them a large contract and then cut them in two years. and what difference did it make? its Dallas. with this GM we will never win a championship. well, maybe not never, but the odds are 1 in 827,292,729,202,872,910,259,202 so go buy a lottery ticket. you have a better chance of hitting on it.

He’s a great player, but this doesn’t make a lot of sense. You just signed Gallup to 15m$ a year to be a backup?

So, if we cut Zeke after this year, would that free up enough money to sign Deebo? I can never remember all of the salary cap stuff
But I would imagine that the 49ers would want a crippling number of draft picks in a trade.

What about CeeDee+1st for Deebo?
