At the end of the day it's an offensive game, and in todays NFL, a great offense usually beats a great defense.
This isn't the 90s or early 2000's anymore where you could win with great defensive play. You're not allowed to play defense the same way anymore and the game has been geared more towards the offensive side of the ball while more rules have been put in place that make playing defense harder.
These defenses were #1 and #2 in the NFL in sacks and both teams put up at least 30 points.
Jalen Hurts accounted for 4 TDs while Mahomes won the Super Bowl MVP and played lights out. It's a QB game now more so than it's ever been. As Warren Sapp said recently "You train to be within 1 score at the end of the game now and you let your 100 million dollar QB take you home". That's exactly what we saw last night.
A good defense is a great thing to have, but if you don't have the offense then you don't have anything.
