I know it was only the last time we played the Super Bowl Eagles and all...but it was relevant.

You probably need to just accept that your team lost yesterday and stop trying to deflect to something else.

No one is fooled.
Is 1 time in 7 years the answer or not, Ken?

Mahomes was also on one leg.... remember when our team got blasted for a 1 legged Rodgers doing it to us on one leg?
I think the "defense wins championship" screaming crowd is some peoples way of saying "We can't count on Dak" without actually saying it.

arguably the critical plays in that game were defensive ones so frankly your case is weak
The eagles were supposed to be a top defense yet look at the points that were scored in this game. Andy Reid developed some genius plays last night especially down at the goal line

Well...yes and no.
The KC defense played better in the second half...at least for couple of drives.
To come back from 10 points down, your defense has to slow the other team down, and make a couple of stops. If they didn't, KC would have never won this SB.

Statically teams with a top 10 offense and defense win the superbowl. However over the last decade or so teams winning the superbowl had a top 10 scoring defense besides the Giants(?)I think. Of course there's outliers on the offense / defense things but in general it takes both an above average offense and defense.

Last year was what 20-17, Patriots shutdown the chiefs and etc

Sometimes the defense doesn't show up at all on both sides. Look at philly vs Patriots.

At the end of the day it's an offensive game, and in todays NFL, a great offense usually beats a great defense.

This isn't the 90s or early 2000's anymore where you could win with great defensive play. You're not allowed to play defense the same way anymore and the game has been geared more towards the offensive side of the ball while more rules have been put in place that make playing defense harder.

These defenses were #1 and #2 in the NFL in sacks and both teams put up at least 30 points.

Jalen Hurts accounted for 4 TDs while Mahomes won the Super Bowl MVP and played lights out. It's a QB game now more so than it's ever been. As Warren Sapp said recently "You train to be within 1 score at the end of the game now and you let your 100 million dollar QB take you home". That's exactly what we saw last night.

A good defense is a great thing to have, but if you don't have the offense then you don't have anything.
Did you not see what the kc defense did the 2nd half? Philly controlled the first half and scored 11 points in the 2nd half. And only 3 until very late. So yes defense does win championships. Your defense doesn't have to be 85 Chicago or 2000s Baltimore or Tampa to make a difference.

If the Chiefs don't score 34 points they lose.

No doubt about it. Dallas isn't smart enough to run out the clock at the end like kc did. They would have scored as soon as possible and missed the xp
People will think you are being sarcasic, but I think you are being factual.
We play very sloppy football.
We were near the top in the NFL in Penalties again.
We were probably near the top in bonehead plays if that were a stat.
Mac really needs to teach this team some attention to detail.

The Chiefs offense didn't win that game last night. It was a defensive score and a special teams return to the 5 yard line.
