Pretty good indicator of why the Cowboys have not made it past the Divisional Round in 3 decades.
Yes, we are near the top of the league in penalties for example recently.
We give away hidden yardage like this all the time lately.
Makes it hard to win.

1 game in 7 years is your final answer?
Weird because I gave you two examples off the top of my head of relevant teams to today but...

Last year Thanksgiving and Seattle, Atlanta, and NYG in 2020.

Let me know if you need more than that to show that your point is stupid.

At the end of the day it's an offensive game, and in todays NFL, a great offense usually beats a great defense.

This isn't the 90s or early 2000's anymore where you could win with great defensive play. You're not allowed to play defense the same way anymore and the game has been geared more towards the offensive side of the ball while more rules have been put in place that make playing defense harder.

These defenses were #1 and #2 in the NFL in sacks and both teams put up at least 30 points.

Jalen Hurts accounted for 4 TDs while Mahomes won the Super Bowl MVP and played lights out. It's a QB game now more so than it's ever been. As Warren Sapp said recently "You train to be within 1 score at the end of the game now and you let your 100 million dollar QB take you home". That's exactly what we saw last night.

A good defense is a great thing to have, but if you don't have the offense then you don't have anything.
Lol! Mmmm…k!!!

About 10 to 12 years ago, heck maybe a little longer. A friend of mine kept telling me you need to be what he called shooters at QB, go down field, have a great passer score a lot of points. As I would tell him teams still need a great defense to stop those QB's though.
I did agree with him to a point, as the rules change to help the offense and to promote scoring.

Sure enough that is what it turned into. We had a lot of yards and points, but not when it counted in the playoffs.

Looks like egirls only scored 8 points in the 4th quarter. Seems like someone’s defense held them to that.

You puzzle me with this post. The Bucs, only a few years ago beat the Chiefs because of their defense. A great offense does not beat a great defense. Very rarely do you see that happen. Just go back to 2013 to see how that turned out. The issue is you're mistakenly assigning great defenses to teams that do not have great defenses. Just because you have a #1 defense doesn't mean it's great. If I have 10 rotten apples, the least rotten apple is still not good. Yet it's #1. We're just very rarely seeing great defenses. So of course the great offense is going to have success.

2013, 2015, 2020, all defenses that shut down very good offenses. This Eagles defense doesn't come close to those. They racked up sacks playing crap teams all year. I think they got around 10 on Carson Wentz alone. Dak threw up 40 on those guys. I think he went 22 for 22 at one point. That's not a great defense.

People will think you are being sarcasic, but I think you are being factual.
We play very sloppy football.
We were near the top in the NFL in Penalties again.
We were probably near the top in bonehead plays if that were a stat.
Mac really needs to teach this team some attention to detail.
The only sarcasm was the xp part, but even that was a toss up in the playoffs with Maher.

Our clock management and decision making in critical moments is sometimes mind boggling.

We lost last years Thanksgiving game so it means nothing. (Celebrating loses is weak)

We lost to Seattle in 2020 so who cares? It's a loss. (Again, celebrating loses is weak)

Dak left the Giants game in 2020 with a boo boo and Dalton led us to the win.

Atlanta is the only reasonable one here.

So, 2 is your final answer now?

Oh, you didn't say they had to be wins. You just said "how many times has Dak led us back from 10 down" lol

You have to be more clear. Yes, i will stick with 2 then.

Not going to waste any more time on your dumb poiint...this is as bad as your 100 yards rushing and L stat.

and in 2 or 3 years a team will play a great defensive game and then people will say see, see... I told you defense wins championships.

FACT as I have been saying for a decade AND GET REGULARLY BLASTED FOR IN HERE....ELITE QBs win championships. Are there exceptions? Sure, but what was the MVP voting this year? I honestly dnt know, but Hurts had to be second behind Mahomes.

You better have elite or you are just praying that everything goes perfect for you. Unfortunately for us, Mahomes is the next Brady.... get ready for another decade of Chefs SB appearances..... I mean, cmon, Andy Reid is clearly the best coach ..... since Billy Boy lost Brady.
Elite QBs w/ Defenses.

It's dumb because it shows that your QB is a front runner that can't put a team on his back if need be.
