Defense is weak against the run again

How many times are we gonna go through the same cycle of defense where they look good until a team comes and runs down their throat? This defense is not made for the playoffs and will repeat the Rams & 49ers games if they don’t add true NT & DT to the roster.

Yes and we also ran it down theirs. Turnovers were the difference
Oh no doubt about it.

I am just saying it’s like the Rams and Niners playoff games. When we need that stop, it’s tough to get. We play better against the pass and rushing the passer. Physical fronts are always our Achilles

I know what your'e saying but it's no that run defense anymore, it has improved a lot

We can't expect to hold teams to 40 yards rushing on the road, like the '85 Bears (it would be nice)

I don’t know why teams don’t run it more against Dallas. A team that can run the ball and stays committed to it is going to be a problem for this defense.

Because teams don’t have the best OL in football, Miles Sanders and a solid running QB like Hurts.

Hard to duplicate

They also lost their all pro RT and still ran the ball well.
When they lost Johnson, the game turned.

They pretty much needed one crucial drive at the end and was able to run it down Dallas’s throat. They have crazy depth with Driscoll and Dillard that are great depth

I am going to give the defense the Dak treatment. The game was 20-17 in the 4th quarter. The defense needed to make that stop. Parsons and Lawrence talked some trash and did not back it up.

Penalties at terrible moments and 3 Cooper Rush interceptions killed the Cowboys last night.

The point is they will face a team that can run the ball in the playoffs. Usually you don’t see bad o-lines.

Our run D is a lot better; but still not good enough to shut down a good running team when it matters.

I’m not sure how you walk away from that game and think the run defense did well.

Who though? Giants, Eagles, 49ers are about it.

Rams, Packers, Bucs, Minnesota are all near the bottom in running the ball.

Teams aren’t really worried going against a guy like Dalton or Geno if they squeak in the playoffs

When we closed to 20-17 we needed the stop and couldn't get it, so I agree with you.

Outside of that, I thought our Run D has improved. Still needs work, I'd like to see what Damone Clark can do

Exactly, and next year, we need to draft the best NT we can get.
