Defense isn't off of the hook

The defense is starting to look like it did in 2020. We’ve lost a lot of players to injury. We’re getting gashed up the middle and can’t stop perimeter plays. We’re giving up plays down the field and can’t keep opponents out of the endzone. We’ve only had one sack in our last two games. Other than the one sack we got today Parsons continues to be a non factor. His level of play has really dropped off from where it was earlier in the season.

While DQ just stands pat and he's in line to take over the whole thing if MM gets canned. If he doesn't switch it up and get after the eagles qb we're in trouble.

The pass rush has disappeared. They can't stop the run or quick passes. Allowed 34 points to the Jaguars. Even an win today would still leave concerns and questions about the defense.

The defense today:

- Allowed a 300+ yard passer
- Allowed a 100+ yard rusher & receiver
- Surrendered a 17 point lead
- Gave up over 500 yards of offense
- Again couldn't generate consistent pressure
and had trouble stopping the run.

The coordinators on both sides of the ball are predictable & as the season has progressed, have struggled making adjustments as needed.

Any team that loses 5 or 6 starters on defense is going to struggle to stop opposing offenses. Depth is great until you have to use it.

But Dallas could have won this game with just a little more effort. I have to see the all-22 if someone has it but where were the rest of the Cowboys when Engram we carrying Kearse out of bounds with 12 seconds left. He dragged Kearse 10 yards to get out of bounds. If they make that tackle in bounds the game ends on a long 60 yard FG try or with a hail Mary.

Quinn to me is pretty stubborn. Micah gets a sack lining up over the guard beginning of the game. Then last drive you put him right in Lawrences eyeline every play. What happened to moving him around?

Also for the life of me hate when we take Micah out on important drives mid game to "rest him". the jaguars scored on one of those drives and it completely changed momentum of the game. If Micah has to rest so much, play him at LB some, let him blitz if need be.

Of course the Defense doesn’t get a pass they are the biggest problem with this team. They can’t stop the run, they can’t stop the pass and they don’t get pressure anymore. They literally don’t do anything good anymore. The offense needs to score 30+ a game to win from the looks of it.

The problem is the turnovers are the only thing the defense did well. The defense was ATROCIOUS other than the turnovers. Like horribly bad.
