Defense looked good, but be cautious

Just something to keep in mind.

What do that mean, wait I'll answer that, it means nothing they are on the team they are NFL caliber players, when we are in that predicament no one feels sorry or make excuses for us.

It DOES matter, we can go back the past couple of seasons and find people saying the same thing about those defenses. It's no wonder Jerry doesn't change, fans like y'all

This was a typical game from this squad where they got an early lead and dominated. We still need to see how this team responds if they fall behind.

Regardless this was a very impressive victory that fans should feel good about, just realize the job is far from over.

Good points but also, I didn't see just gaping holes in the middle of the field for easy 8 yard runs either. Hopefully those days are gone. I'm willing to give up some pass rush to keep gap and perimeter containment. Quinn didn't care.

Who ours? They looked good in the first. Second half with a lead didn’t look as good. But Browns have a good defense. They adjusted.

Our defense looked good last year during the first two games before it laid its first egg. I won’t trust this defense until I see it perform like this in the playoffs. No way am I’m not buying in this early.

The DL looked better than expected, but I'm more excited to watch the LB corps and secondary develop further. Only caught the second half, and what I saw was a group of guys playing assignment football and swarming to the ball. If DT holds up, the front 7 is poised to be a massive upgrade over what we saw last year.

I never buy into first week results no matter the team. Some teams start slow or have bad games.

But for this game the pass rush was mvp no doubt. Watson was running for his life the entire game.

The pass rush was awesome but yeah, not having the OTs probably helped a bit.

Overshown was crazy good. Secondary still appears to be one of the best in the league, Lewis played great. I still worry about the DT play against the run but for one day, this defense looked really good.

Smart... but you have to also look at the machine and how it is operating. Analyze what is different but overall, yeah I agree. Still the same players pretty much. It's good we have better LB'ers.
