That's one of our main points. We have the weakest schedule in football and Dak is averaging less than 2 PTDs a game. At this point against this schedule Romos going to be averaging much closer to 4 PTDs a game than 2. That's alot of points to sacrice. Dak just got his first 300 yrd passing game courtesy of a big play by Zek. How many 300 yrd games does Romo have ? Try around 50. See how Garrett would be digging himself a hole ? Don't fall into the media trap they would love for Garrett n Jerry to ride Dak into the playoffs so they could rip them. They will also do the opposite if it's Romo and he struggles but it's much easier to justify Romos career numbers against Dak relatively mundane numbers. In the playoffs experience carries a lot of weight.

Our schedule hasn't been that weak, I've already gone through this with another Romo FAN. None of you would be claiming our schedule has been weak if Romo was the QB. It's all an attempt to chip away at what Dak has accomplished. The Steelers are 4-5 after yesterday, do you consider them a weak opponent? There's a lot of parity out there and every team in the league except for us, Seattle and NE has more than 2 losses and there's still 7 games left. We currently rank 3rd in offense which is 4 spots higher than in 2014. We've scored over 30 points in 4 games this season which is the exact same number of 30 point games we had in 2014 after the first 9 games. We've just gone 9 straight games having 200+ yards passing and 100+ yards rushing which ties an NFL record.

Romo isn't going to be averaging closer to anything other than another injury with all the games he's missed. It doesn't matter that Dak just had his first 300 yard game, we're moving the chains better than we did in 2014 and we're scoring plenty of points to win games. Dak's TD to turnover ratio is 18-5 which is better than Romo's 18-7 TD to turnover ratio in 2014. Romo isn't going to be what he was missing a full years worth of football games. The best QB is the one who's playing right now, who has a 106.2 passer rating which is higher than Romo's was after the first 9 games of the 2014 season. As for Dak's mundane numbers he's only on pace to throw for more yards than Romo did in 2014 and he's only 4 TD passes behind what Romo threw for after the first 9 games of the 2014 season but Dak has 4 rushing TD's.

I hate to pee in everyone's Cheerios the day after a great offensive win, but this has to be said. One aspect of yesterday's game should not be overlooked-had the Steelers not gone for two points an astounding FOUR times, they would have scored 34 points on our defense, including driving 75 yards in just over a minute to take the lead with 42 seconds remaining in the game. It's unfeasible to believe that our offense can bail us out like it did yesterday on a consistent basis. Except for DeMarcus Lawrence, our pass rush is nil. I was really surprised when the Browns were able to trade for Patriots Pro Bowl OLB/DE Jamie Collins for a possible 3rd round pick. I don't know if we made an offer or not, but we sure could have used him in our stretch run. He has their playbook down already, & was a one-man wrecking crew vs the Ravens Thursday night. That being said, we need to find a way to get more pressure on the QB, or we won't get very deep into the playoffs. Big Ben laid 408 yards passing on us. If we can't find someone else to help out this year, we need to draft at least two pass rushers in the first four rounds in 2017 if we're ever going to have a dominating defense. The only way to stop the Brady's of the NFL is to put them in the dirt early & often. We do not have that capability right now, & it will keep us from winning the SB until we do. Offensive games are fun to watch, but they don't win Super Bowls.
Someone with a brain, this should have stood out more than the offensive win. I wrote about this in another post but was not believed. Good to see an objective server among the fan base.

Most talented offense OUTSIDE of Dallas you mean, right?

Yep..

We may not have the best passing game in the league but our offense is a machine.. Especially once we have a lead and we get a stop. That's when it's nighty night for whoever we play.

Funny how many of the Romo FANS haven't forgotten about the 2014 season but they seem to have forgotten that the last couple of times we saw Romo play during the regular season which was a year ago, he didn't look very good.

Overlooked?

None of the smart posters have "overlooked" it, we just know there's nothing you can do about it right now.

While I agree with what you said the Steelers beat the Chiefs in Pittsburgh 43-13. Roeth was 22-27. It happens

You won't be seeing me. Romo isn't playing this season unless Dak's game starts coming apart or he's injured. You're a Romo FAN your username says it all. If we have to score more points than we are right now it's not the offense, it's the defense that's the problem.

Correction I'm a Dallas Cowboy fan first n foremost. Sure I'm also a Tony Romo AND Dak Prescott fan. I've had this nick for 2 yrs long before Dak came around. The simple truth is Romo is the better player at this stage. Those who don't see that have been duped by the media our weak schedule and the strength of our running game and there are a few of those who have been hating on Romo for long before Dak arrived. Those who diligently study the game film see that Dak is only reading half the field 80 percent of the time often leaving wide open recievers on the backside. He often reverts to poor mechanics and footwork. He has thrown into coverage double coverage resulting in end zone INTs and had several other INTs dropped. Most importantly the vets on the team have seen this on film and the coaching staff. In addition inside the locker room the vets prefer Romo for the playoffs. Its no surprise they no what he is capable of they are not going to risk this opportunity to get a ring because the best QB was not on the field. The plan all along was for Romo to return but now we have the luxury of pushing Romos return down the road to limit his exposure to injury. Dont believe me ? Just watch.

I am going to go after one thing. The patriots and Browns trade. Of course it would have been nice no doubt. The only problem is next year he would require a big contract.

You can't gauge how good or bad our defense is based on yesterdays game. We are not going to face a team with a top 5 QB, top 3 RB, top 3 WR again this year.

If our defense looks like crap next week against the Ravens, then I would worry.

Super Bowl Win sounds better, got to go for it all.

Belicheck would much rather defend against Dak. He will throw exotic defenses at him he never could dream of. He will load the box on 1st and 2 down forcing 3rd n long in blitz Zeke all night just waiting for him to crumble. That's a lot of pressure to put on a 1st year rookie putting the championship hopes n dreams of long time vets on the shoulders of a rookie. Not a good idea.

In 1973 the Dallas Cowboys traded their former starting QB to the Hiants for their #1 pick and promptly ranked the following seson.

This have the Cowboys the #2 overall pick which they used to get HOFer Randy White.

Would something similar to this work?

We played one of the best offenses in their home and won. This fan base is something else, we also gifted them the first TD on a turnover. You can't shut down offenses in every game. Even the Seahawks defense has put up some lousy games at times. We are also depleted in the secondary and losing Scandrick made it even worse.
