We will have to agree to disagree because not stopping the run had a whole lot to do with not winning tonight.

We lost the game because Philadelphia had a much better passing efficiency, which is what determines nearly every modern NFL game.

With a typical Dak NFC East performance we win that game by two scores regardless of what Philly does on the ground.

It won't get better. We had a chance to improve our run defense in the offseason, we continue to plug in JAGs at DT and keeping bums like LVE.

Defense did well considering Rush gifted a top offense great field possession three times.
All they had to do is make 1 stop after we scored on a 93 yd drive,we had the momentum and their defense was tired,if they would have,we would have won regardless of the turnovers, imo.

You're just flat off the freakin' mark here. Our run defense has been suspect all season. They were gashing us early with the run and then on the final drive ran the ball down our throats so much it opened up the pass that put the final nail in the coffin.

Hurts is like every bus driver. Make him throw from the pocket more increases your chance of victory. How do you make him throw more? By stopping the run and putting him in second and third in distance. Again we will have to agree to disagree.

He has little clue what he is talking about. With his mindset, why even run the dang ball?

Some of the conclusions people come to on this forum is hilarious.

No but they need to be able to do it in key situations. 4th quarter and it was a 3 point game and Philly went bully ball

Sure, but the bigger point is that if you do the important things well you usually won’t be a situation where stopping the run late matters. Teams won’t be running on you because you’ll be ahead most of the time.

The best teams throw the ball efficiently and explosively, and when you do that better than your opponent you will rarely need to stop the run to win.

I’m just posting the data, I don’t know why you’re mad at me. Be mad at the nature of the game.

And passing success isn’t determined by rushing success BTW, it’s actually the reverse. The stats are clear that NFL teams pass to set up the run.

The defense did well against the run. What do you fans expect? Dallas should win by shut out, win by double digits, and limit every offense to minus yardage every game.

right but also there are going to be situations where you can do everything right but you need to stuff the run. That’s the big weakness of this defense if your looking for one

He is another one the stuck on statistics instead of what is happening on the field. The defense didnt get stops when the needed particularly against the run. Not sure what he watching.

its the one area that continues to cause us problems.
but this defense still feels different than any we've had in awhile.
better than last year.
better than 2018.
but like those...the run game is a bug a boo.

It wouldn’t have mattered at all with better QB play. Philly had 275 yards of offense.
Agree completely. Pedestrian effort by Philly's offense. A dozen good QBs beat the Eagles tonight with Dallas D behind them.
