Defensive film review

As wonderful as this breakdown is....you cannot possibly believe this is 100% accurate without knowing the true coverages/responsibilities on each play.

Maybe Roy was so completely out of position that he wasn't even able to MISS a tackle?
Sure, anything is possible.

My whole point is that there is alot of blame to go around and even if Adam hadn't made this thread, you kinda have to assume that there's gotta be more than one person who helped give up 438 yards.

Holy Moses met the Pharoah.

While this is certainly fixable, some of it is just plain alarming.

If you don't mind, I think I'm gonna have to steal this remark.... hilarious!

No there isn't it is all Williams' fault, if he is anywhere near the tv screen, it has to be his assignment.

I'm more shocked that someone has the time and energy to review film when he is not being paid to do so.

Is anyone paying you to post 4300 times on a football forum?

If so, let me in on that action.

I think it's pretty obvious why someone would do this. We love the Cowboys, and find it interesting.

And yet you can throw out all your generalized negativities about Roy Williams without knowing coverage responsibilities and not post your own statistical breakdown. Which am I going to believe? Someone that took the time to break down every play or someone with an agenda?

Most people here are getting paid to post most of the time. Whether their employers know it or not.:lmao2:

The statistics on the amount of time people waste on the internet at work is incredible.

Sucks for those of us that own their own businesses.

It isn't a criticism, more shock. I know my old lady gives me a hard time about watching the game once. No way I could ever pull watching it a second time to break down film.

Speaking of shock, he demoted himself from salary cap "expert" to mere "analyst." Modesty is good for the soul.

You got it free too ;)

Heheheheh re my tot.

As a guy told me at Disneyland this year, he loves places like that because he realizes his son is not the only one to misbehave.

Yeah, I got it free, but I appreciate it!

Do they have Disneyland in Canada? I did not know that?

Or, did you come down to America to take the brat to Disneyland?

I take it you are putting the first Plaxico TD on Henry. Were Roy or Hamlin partially to blame in that one as well?

That one was on Henry.

Take a look for yourself.

I dunno. To me, this is just as much an indictment of the front seven.

Any QB in the league will pick apart a secondary if given time to throw.

I was much more bothered the lack of pressure on Manning.

The blitz timing was awful. They got next to no pressure when rushing without a blitz.

An awful performance all ways round.

Some stats from my film review of the game. (Anyone else is welcome to do the same and provide their own stats. I have each play marked, so we can compare notes, if needed.)

PASS DEFENSE
Henry: 6-for-6, 123 yards, one TD

This one here is statistically correct -- but we all know that Henry was clearly expecting deep help on the TD that didn't arrive.

We do?

I thought Reeves played OK. I'd like to see the coaches allow him to play a bit closer to the LOS. The off-coverage seemed to put him at more of a disadvantage thany help. Obviously the coaches have their reasons but perhaps Reeves play will give the coaches more confidence as the season preogresses.
