I wouldn't say he was great tonight but he wasn't the worst part of the defense. He's made all 4 plays on the Giants final drive.

I don't care about tackles. I don't think he played great, but he made the plays when he as supposed to. The awful part of our team was the that our linebackers and defensive linemen didn't make plays at all. It's not Roy's fault that a running back goes untouched for 10 yards and has him out of position.

RW was dreadful. If this was an isolated incident with him, it wouldn't be a big deal. Jones made a horrible decision to extend him.

He can't cover anyone. Guys don't just get open against him, they can get open at will. I expect that from scrubs like Reeves and Nate Jones, but you'd think our highest paid DB could do better.

To make matters worse, Henry was abysmal as well. It disgusts me that we passed on better, more established CBs and took Henry because Boles wanted him.

The offense better be as good as it looked tonight, because our D can't stop anyone. Henry and RW aren't very good. Bradie James is below average. Marcus Spears gets bullied with regularity. Chris Canty is just a guy.
New scheme or no, the defense just doesn't have enough talented players.

Roy missed a few tackles...he did not have a Roy game...he was poor.

You're being an OU homer. RW can't tackle and he can't cover. His blitzes usually end with him 10 yds from the QB giving up.

RW has basically become a completely worthless player. A few years ago, he couldn't cover, but at least he was a feared hitter and a good tackler. Right now, he isn't either. He acts like he's afraid to hit guys the way he did 3 years ago. It looks to me like he got paid and has quit.

How many times did they get any YAC? Rarely ever and if it was it wasn't for a lot. Our problems on D were more because the front 7 wasn't involved in the game for the most part. Roy makes that play if he's 6-2 or 6-3. But he's 6-0.

Roy makes that play if he takes the proper depth and moves his feet instead of standing there flat footed letting Burress run right behind him.

I don't care about him going to OU. I don't think Roy played that bad tonight. In fact non of our DBs really played that bad tonight. They were there in coverage on most plays. Made sure the receivers got no YAC. They really couldn't have covered any better on most of the plays. Eli just never got touched.

Ive been posting that all offseason. I dont care what scheme you run if the players on the field cant make plays or execute scheme it doesnt matter. It is easier for people to blame Parcell's scheme then admit that even though Jerry has spent a ton of money and draft picks on that side of the ball they still lack the talent to be good.
