Deion on Carr baiting Rivers for INT and Ware showing up

The metaphor doesn't really work but I get what he was trying to say. Essentially, he was saying Carr shouldn't take that kind of a risk. He said, " You don’t want to use that kind of bait. But he made the play, that’s all that counts."

Yeah, you're right. I get it now too, you just have to ignore the part about the lake. lol

I hate Deion. I also hate Nate Newton. I don't know why people decide to put ex-players on the air, when they can't even speak proper English. Unfortunately, I lost my ebonics-decoder book.

I can't think of any of our super bowl era players or any former Cowboy that I hate.:banghead:

Mine too. It's like a disease. A sale justifies all purchases. lol :bang2:

That's true. I was just trying to imply my tone wasn't vicious when saying it. It's hard to show that over the internet. I don't like him very much but it's not like I have a feeling of complete disdain for the guy.

Understood!:) I can easily see why people dislike him. I just think he's a better person than what he portrays.

I will start taking Deion seriously when Rex Grossman becomes the best quarterback in the NFC East.

So Ben of Skin/Rodgers is a football analyst now?

I'm not at all surprised that the DFW Media looks at the negative and tries to downplay Carr's interception.

BTW Ryan said that Carr's play was a "plus-plus" because he was supposed to have safety help on the play.

In any case Rivers did underthrow the ball, as the replay will show, but Carr also was tracking the ball the entire time. Pay attention to the direction of his helmet in the last seconds of the video. Both Carr and Meachem have their heads turned back and are tracking to football. I don't know of many DBs that will stay step for step with a WR while they are tracking a football in the air.

The ball was underthrown but does anyone realize how far of a throw that was?

The ball went 50 yards in the air. It would have had to been thrown another 5 yards at least, likely 10 yards, in order to hit Meachem in stride.

Meachem pulled up at around the 24 and he was at like the 19 when Carr caught it.

Any QB who can get the ball out that far without loading up to do so is going to beat the best coverage in the league.

Rivers waited too long to be able to make that throw without winding up on it. I don't think Meachem came open enough for him to make that throw until he was too far down field.

Let a WR run the length of the field with a DB trying to guard him, eventually he'll come open.

Biggest clown on TV. Pretty much the football version of Charles Barkley.

Barkley is the best personality on sports television. Don't hate the player. :laugh2:

It's also worth noting that Carr, a former Kansas City Chief, probably has significant experience playing against Phillip Rivers, an opposing QB in the AFC West.

Deion: DeMarcus Ware is the 1 thing on the Cowboys that, "I don’t care if it’s cold, hot, rainy, snow, good, bad, he’s going to do his job."

Deion on Carr baiting Rivers on INT: “I got a lake in my backyard and I dont use that kind of bait. He made the play. Thats all that counts"

As usual, I'm stalking twitter for more

Deion you can go jump in that lake!!

he got beat and intercepted an under thrown ball, what's the big deal? at least it didn't hit him in the back of the head like probably would have happened to our corners in year's past.

I think Deion was actually giving Carr a complement.. It just didn't come out right in Twitter Talk.. I actually like Deions act.. He loves the Cowboys... However how the heck he let his Fine **S wife get away.

Exactly, .. not sure why some are here saying he was in a good position on that play, he was not.

No big deal, it happens.

LOL Vinnie. She is definitely a beast, but the craziness is enough to make most men walk away. Notice I said most. :D

BTW, that's good money in that picture. (respect due) Is that the Mrs?
