Uh.... have you seen the Patriots OC? Or Spagnola? He hasn't shown any learnign capabilities... this team hasn't shown any progression... if he was learning, it would start to show...

Patriots OC= 8 years of coaching experience
Giants DC= 9 years of coaching experience
Cowboys OC= 3 years of coaching experience

you do the math

There's no way an offense with 5 GOOD receivers, should sputter like ours does.

Owens is a Hall of Famer. Williams is pretty good. Witten is on his way to the Hall of Fame. Crayton would be a 2nd receiver if he played anywhere else. Yet how can Dallas receivers not get open?

Before I get called out, I meant 4 good receivers.

It was a game of missed opportunities. You had Romo miss a couple of throws, TO lose one in the lights, a dropped pitch, etc.

We had the Ravens put the ball on the carpet something like 5 times and we only got one of them?

Just one of those goes our way and we might win.

Did you see what happened to Romo on that play? That defense attacked Romo, and Romo kept the play alive with his feet once again, and tossed the ball... The defense knows where and when to attack... They can afford to man-up against TO, because they know they can put Romo in a crappy position...

It is always a game of missed oppurtunities with this team... There is a reason why it is always about missed oppurtunities every game...

Then Garrett should still be a Quarterbacks coach, and work his way up to be a legit coordinator.

why are you blaming Garrett, shouldnt you be blaming Jerry for hiring him too early?

and how long has he been a coach ? he needs learning experience just like ANY other coach.

True.

However, I am merely pointing out that it doesn't matter how he is viewed among his colleagues.

What does matter is how he performs once given an opportunity to be an Offensive Coordinator.

Jason Garrett has been given the Mercedes Benz of the NFL, with regards to an Offensive Unit. He has:

1) A stable of Running Backs
2) A massive Offensive Line
3) Two number 1s playing at Wide Receiver
4) The best Tight End in the NFL
5) A very good Quarterback

What the heck is the problem?

Also, you state that he needs time to learn. The Dallas Cowboys are built to win right now, we don't have time for On The Job Training. This was precisely why Brian Stewart was stripped of the Defensive Playcalling.

big deal,it still comes down to blocking and tackling

combination of alot of things, but if you do not have control at the top, the rest scatters.

This coaching staff runs this team as if it is a bunch of parts rather than a complete unit.

Offensive playcalling has been real weak all year, and it really showed today.

Penalties, penalties, penalties....... that to me is coaching & discipline. Wade can tell you more about that.

Special teams, and our always getting fooled by these trick plays...... Well, how hard is it to watch for that more often. Is it real hard to watch for that and risk them getting a FG rather than being fooled and them getting an easy first and then a TD? Why has it been, for the last 13 years it seems, that we get fooled so easily by fake FGs, onside kicks when you wouldn't expect one, etc.........?

Cowboys do not deserve the playoffs this year. What this team needs, like it or not, is Jerry Jones to hire a REAL coach and let that real coach hire his own personal staff. Does that mean a bunch of Jerry Jones' hand picked coaches like Garrett and Campo would be gone? yes, it does.

He stated that he was told that the Cowboys run the most banal and simplistic offense in the league.

He also stated that Ray Lewis told him that he was very confident that he could stifle the Cowboys offense because of this simplicity.

Isnt Jason a offspring of Norv Turner? And in our Super Bowl years with Jimmy it was said we ran a handfull of plays. that the opposition knew what was coming and we just could not be stopped.

Maybe thats a hint here... on what our problem is. Because we dont have that kind of team to play that way.

We're blaming Garrett because he doesn't take accountability or make adjustments. Jerry is a man of risks, and unfortunately this one didn't pan out.

Also, during the game, I have to admit, I found myself wondering what this offense would be like if we had Cam Cameron calling the plays.

Norv was also known for calling the right play at the right time. he's notorious for setting up defenses and mixing it up. Garrett clearly has no ability to set up defenses.

You mean they were coaching 8 and 9 years as defensive and offensive coordinators?

So we should wait 6 years for Garrett to 'learn'? What happened all those times he was allegedly learning as a coach through al his years of playing?

Our offense is too predictable.
Ray Ray is right, he might be a little blunt, but he's right.

1st- Either deep pass or outside run
2nd-HB inside run
3rd-Completion to Witten/outside run or deep to T.O.
4th- Outside run or deep to T.O.

Jason Garret's offense lost its luster, defenses had a whole summer to prepare for it and we did nothing to improve it.

All I'm saying is when a defensive player is predicting the plays you've called, you've failed.

I can't believe this is even a debate, just watch the games and see how predictable we are

the only thing we do consecutively is pass the ball, we have 3 rushing plays

good Gosh, someone tell Romo to ditch that hat!

We are a big Toyota truck. Imported garbage, with a lot of hype.

We have slow receivers, they don't get any separation. Especially Roy "2nd highest paid receiver in the whole freaking league" Williams.

Minus Brandon Jacobs, Plexico Burress

Plus a huge distraction, which I am sure you heard about.

The Giants are finished.

Not only that, play-action was a staple of Norv Turner... He made safeties bite... This guy Garrett, very rarely runs play-action and safeties just sitback all day, taking away the deep route that Garrett kepps forcing the ball to...

NO Im saying it takes TIME to become a good NFL Coach. Garrett has very little time as a coach in any level.

That offense didn't look slow and overhyped towards the end of the game once we started to adjust and actually attack.
