STOP SAYING THIS ON THIS MESSAGE BOARD!

This is dead give away troll speak. So even if you're not a troll and an elohssa it makes you sound like a troll and an elohssa.

We are Cowboy fans, we never "worry about winning a playoff game".

Our franchise has won more playoff games than any other NFL team. That includes teams with as many as 35 more seasons played than us.

We don't worry about anything.......elohssa.

So saying Dallas needs to go game for game instead of expecting all of the marbles is troll talk? Whatever man. What Dallas did in the past is all great, but we're talking about recent history and NOW.

First, get back to the playoffs. Second, win your first playoff game and go from there.

I am not trying to dog Dallas at all, please trust me. I love Dallas, but you have to be logical.

You have to win a playoff game before you can even consider winning a Super Bowl so I don't know why you guys are getting your panties all in a wad.

There are all kinds of reports of romo drinking the whole offseason away, while payton manning is watching film,, taking care of his body...doing what it takes to try and be a superstar tony romo is trying to be a rockstar! he needs to make up his mind...who does he want to be? right now its both and you cant have it both ways...a house divided will fall! just like we have the last two years in the playoffs...right now due to his mindset and that only, tony romo: good player but not great...unsure if he will ever be...36 td's included....this is what parcells warned him about...lipservice included he got his 60 mill...he won his superbowl...words mean nothing, his actions prove otherwise...i dont want to hear about other players partying and being great...tony is a different player...he has to be all out 100% football to be great..or he will be mediocre...if i have to spell that out to you i dont know what to tell you....go figure it out for yourself...

If you think Tony Romo is the main concern as far as the Cowboys winning a playoff game then just don't get it bro.

Tony romo is one of the problems and he has the ball more than anyone else so he matters more....obviously we had secondary problems before but dont you think that if this was Troy's team Troy would have put his foot down and got ALL the guys to play better? i think so..he never would have accepted a Ronnie Lott type of player to play like keith davis....never...and their would have been enough leaders on defense to make it happen...we dont have that right now

While payton manning is on location filming 50,000 TV advertisements to air during every minute of every commercial break for every NFL game for the upcoming season.

Fixed that for you.

It's a strange feeling in Dallas. The Cowboys should have an excellent team but no one is really that hyped up about training camp. Everyone seems like they're still hung over from last year's failure. It's like the season doesn't even start until December this year.

Alot of truth in that, cause of our late season disasters. We could go 13-0 to start the season, and it will still be there for alot of us.

We could have 13 straight wins, then one loss and the thought will be, "here we go". Just human nature, this team was such a letdown last year, it made its own bed, so now it has to lay in it.

The year before the Giants won it all they won 0 playoff games, in fact--they didn't even make the playoffs.
The year before the Colts won it all they won 0 playoff games, losing their first game against the Steelers on their home turf in Indy.

Those are the last two NFL Champions... FYI

end of discussion?

Super Bowl or bust.

Romo's been the leader of the team for like 2 years. Give him time before we start comparing him to Aikman as far as his leadership goes. You also can't compare the two because each one has a different game. Aikman was a pure pocket passer who was deadly accurate and he had the #1 running game in the league to fall back on. Romo has had game where he had to win it with his legs, arms, tenacity, will power and his pure desire to find a way to get it done. And yeah, it wasn't the prettiest of games when he has to do that but the fact remains he found a way to win it.

Forget everything you saw from him last season except the Giants playoff game. He has a banged up thumb, yet he's out there manning up. His offensive line fell apart on him, his defense was clueless for a few series and his #2 WR blows two big plays which may have resulted in a win.

With all that going against him the kid still made sure this team was in it until the last freaking play of the game. He gives every thing he possible has to try and win football games. That's all you can ask from him.

And one more thing about Romo. Ask Aikman about him. He has said time and time again that the kid has what it takes.

The defense needs to find their own leader and I think it's Bradie James. He did a good job last season and now he has to continue to do a good job while also taking charge when neccessary. Last season he was still making sure he was going to keep his job, remember his 2006 season was poor. We can also look for Hamlin to lead from his FS spot as well.

The defense was average last season if you ask me. They were never at full strength in the secondary and if they can avoid injuries there this season they will only get better as the season progresses.

Roy is the weak link. And I don't say that to start the same old argument again with his fans, but he has to make some big plays early on so he can get his confidence back. With a confident Roy running around bashing people from sideline to sideline the defense can really become a dominant unit.

Yes, I/he does.
You really don't. If you expect me to be smiling in mid January after the Cowboys have won their first playoff game then that is not how it should go down. After winning that playoff game the goal is to continue winning. The goal of this team should be bigger than winning a playoff game.

I live in Indy and I remember the Colts run in 06/07 season and they beat the Chiefs in the Wild Card game. Do you think people were happy and celebrating in the streets after that game? I'll give you the answer NO.

I know what you are saying. All I am saying is take it game for game. After the first playoff win, be happy knowing you are going to the next level.

Nobody is saying celebrate like you just won the whole dang thing. If anything, the first playoff win means more stress because as you get closer to the promised land, the sting of failure will get worse.

Dallas needs to win a playoff game first... I'm tired of everyone talking about Superbowl or bust because the harsh reality is you can't win a Superbowl without winning a playoff game, something Dallas hasn't done since 1996!

I'd much rather be shooting for winning the whole thing then being of the mind set that 'as long as we win a playoff game'. A single playoff win doesn't mean anything to me, quite honestly. I want the whole thing or it's meaningless. Winning a playoff game and then losing the next week is not any more impressive to me then losing in the first round is.

So by your logic, all but 5 seasons for Dallas have been meaningless.

Like threesportstar and myself said, you have to win playoff games before you win Super Bowls.

Think about this.

If you are the Vikings and you are 'building a team' and you come out this year and win a playoff game, but then lose the next one you can be somewhat satisfied as a team and as a fan base.

They didn't make the playoffs in 2006 and 2007. Their young QB is still trying to prove he bleongs in the NFL. So they are just rounding into form as to what they will be for a few years. That's there hope anyway.

As for the Cowboys. This team is built already. The QB is ready. The WR and TE positions have a top five player lining up. They made the playoffs the last two seasons. The coaching staff if filled with high profile names.

The Vikes 'window' is open a crack. The Cowboys 'window' is wide open, so wide open Leonard Davis can jump thru it.

Coming up with a one playoff win this season will not translate into Jerry Jones sitting in his luxury box giddy about the future. It will leave with a feeling of 'what the heck else can I possibly do to get back to the freaking Super Bowl already?'.
