Demarcus Disses Free -video added post 80

I can't see the video right now, cause it's blocked where I work, but what I'm wondering from seeing what Slate has said here is this.

Could it be possible that his mentioning that you've got to draft someone, or bring Flo back, could also be in reference to depth? As it stands, at this point, we'd be likely looking at Free as our only LT and if he gets hurt, then what?

So is it possibly his answer is saying that since we've cut Flo that we've either got to have him back, at a reduced price, or draft someone in order to keep depth on the O-Line?

I'm curious cause out of everything everyone has posted here it seems to be something that no one is talking about is that DWare could just as easily, as anything else, be pointing out the fact that since we cut Flo that we're down to one LT and that his answers are about that and not an indication that he doesn't think Free can do the job.

I don't know cause I haven't seen the video but it seems, like I said from what people have posted here, that it's just as likely that he's talking about depth in relation to the LT spot as he is about rather Free can man the LT spot.

Some people are just looking to argue that Ware isn't a guy who would diss a teammate.

He didn't do it intentionally.

Anyone in here saying this isn't relative and that it's nothing to even talk about is just nuts IMO.

The entire world is talking about Doug Free replacing Flozell Adams.

The fact that Doug Free's name didn't pop up into Ware's head right there is a concern.

well I disagree, you can call me nuts if you feel like it.

Last year at this time when doing interviews and asked who would take over for owens ware said hurd and austin have to step up. He never mentioned Roy Williams or patrick Crayton. Was he dissing them or did they just slip his mind during the interview.

He also said last month during an interview on the blitz that butler was playing inside linebacker and inferred he was an inside linebacker.

He also gets a chuckle out of me all the time because he routinely botches cliched sayings.

For instance saying the team was putting all its eggs in one bucket last year at camp.

Its just his personality, Nothing negative was meant towards anyone. And witten and bradie both said the same thing today in their own way, Flozell was highly liked and respected in our locker room. So ware is just talking about losing a guy he has known as a starting player since he has been here.

But if I am nuts that is fine too.

no question D-Ware said what he said. It could be left open for interpretation, or it could be one of this: " it is what it is ", meaning that's his opinion and he's sticking by it.

We'll see if the media picks up on it and forces him clear it up or if it's missed..

The one thing I will say is this: The day the Dallas Cowboys start making their personnel decisions based on what the players think, they might as well close up the front office, fire all their scouts and coaches and just let the players make all the decisions.

I've already said I dont trust Free as a LT. I dont think Romo does either, but at least he mentioned Free's name when he was asked about the LT position. DWare did not even utter his name. YIKES! Perhaps, DWare just had a brainfart about Free being considered as Flo's replacement?? Yeah!

Flo was released a few weeks ago. Ware has gone up against him in practice for years. There have been no OTAs yet where Ware has gone up against Free. It's not surprising that he doesn't mention Free because they haven't lined up and gone at it since Flo's been gone.

If he says this after OTAs or minicamps, get back to me.

Remember when letting Flo go was fresh and Romo was asked to comment, but had no comment?

Might tie into it. Perhaps <some> Cowboy players don't think deep down Free can be Flo's replacement.

What I'm more worried about is how our franchise QB is gonna sleep at night should Free turn out to not be what we're all hoping he can be.

Ask yourself this. Who is more qualified to say if a LT is able to protect a QB, Ware or the front office? Do you really need to think it about for more than 5 seconds?

He's a member of the media. He gets more hits on his "blog" if this is a story. This is the guy who was twitter-stalking Austin and screaming about him not showing up for voluntary workouts.

Of course, there is that other side of the coin I suppose. I know throughout the year players will sometimes get asked a question in the locker room and they seem oblivious to it.

I think when Pacman got into trouble half the players didn't even know about it until the writers brought it up. There's been other things too, sometimes they don't even know what team they play the following week.

Perhaps Ware truly didn't know Free was expected to step up, though i think it's highly unlikely. I'm just trying to find an explanation for it..

I don't know how this turned into a bash DC thing. DC does a lot of really good things for this site and I don't really get why people would bash him for that in a thread that isn't about him.

DC says a lot of things I don't agree with, we've had our arguments, but the guy does some good stuff and deserves the proper respect for doing so.

2 reasons that can't happen here.

#1: People will point to him having to suddenly play LT, for the first time in a year or more, in the playoff game when Flo went down and try and show it as proof that he can't ever play LT.

#2: It wouldn't be The Zone if people didn't go crazy getting ahead of themselves in April.
