This is a realistic approach. There's not a lot of that going on.He is 28 and has 2 years left before being a FA, I think his contract likely gets restructured next season to free up money

I wonder if they could give him an extension and move money back.
I think he will be good for 3 more seasons.
Lawrence is 29 years old and turns 30 in April 2022. His contract ends in 2023 with an out (by way of team savings of traded/released) after this season so no sense restructuring his deal. That said, his play the remaining of the season will dictate his future in Dallas.
I would agree his play will determine that, however if he comes in and produces then I fully expect his contract will be used to free up cash. All teams will use the big contracts they have to restructure to free up money, this is why they are more willing to do these big deals to begin with. If teams did not have the ability to restructure contracts teams would be less willing to sign them to begin with.
Not trying to predict bad things but would not be surprised if Lawrence comes back and within 2 weeks he is out hurt again and tries to make sure his 2022 salary is guaranteed as he probably sees that his arse is gone after the 2022 season given the savings towards Dallas' cap.
If he performs then yes they may restructure but at some point in time a decision like J. Smith may be needed.
why are you the way you are? Such a beating.
Unlike Smith, when DLaw plays he is still creating tackles for loses and forced fumbles. Sack total has been down but he also faces more doubles to his side yet still creates the negative plays. Chances are that is why he still grades out very high by people at PFF. Believe me I want to see sack totals increase but I can't deny the hustle he shows or the negative plays he creates.

So statistically speaking since getting a contract extension prior to the 2019 season Lawrence has decreased in all of these categories with the exception of tackles. Now a debate can be made depending on viewpoint but one can't claim Lawrence was being double teamed only in 2019 & 2020 after he got his contract and not before it as the stats say he is not getting to the QB like he was prior to his contract extension and the reason why he got paid what he did.
I think how this season goes will have a lot to do with what the team chooses to do. If your claim is he is lazy and just coasting after getting his deal, then I disagree.
Bye.Look, I'm done with you as you make false claims to me and others all the time so go do your bottom dwellers, trolls, haters social media drama while I and others having adult dialogue.
