I think he did better than most people expected, he really added some pressure on some plays, on others you could tell that playing more snaps every game will only help and he will benefit from it, snap count should keep going up week by week.

Yup and by the time we play NY and Philly he'll be in better game shape to take on more snaps.

He was good against the run.

Looked a bit like he played with the brakes on.

DL just needs some time to adjust, it looks like they eased him in the game plan.

I noticed some pressure, some good technique in terms of pass rush moves on a few plays.

Once he is back in football shape and the game slows down for him a bit, he should really help our pass rush.

I wasn't expecting the second coming of Charles Haley today, but I thought he was Ok and look forward to him getting better each week

I think he played ok, got some pressure on Palmer and played the run decently. Like others have said, he seemed to get gassed as the game went on but that is to be expected in his first game.

This was his first real NFL game. I think he had a couple of good plays and is as good as any other edge rusher we have. He will get better. I will say the one thing he needs to do is get off the ball faster. I watched several plays just looking at him. He get's off the ball really slow. If he can fix that, I think he could contribute something we lack big time.

I thought for the first half of the game..

he added a good push that Melton obviously benefited from.

It needs to continue.

Maybe if Josh Brent gets added to the rotation..

we will see a lot more results.

Fingers crossed.

This London game is now a mandatory win for us to stop the bleeding.

We'll see.

I was impressed and looking forward to seeing more. Don't know much about the Cardinals left tackle but Lawrence was able to disengage from him and get to Palmer. On plays that Palmer held the ball for any amount of time he was getting there. Mincey who has looked good in the past seemed to have more trouble getting off the tackle. On a run to his side they sent two blockers towards him but he held his ground and turned it in. I don't remember seeing him get pushed back or blocked out a play.

It's also worth mentioning that Patmon and Hitchens have some game too. I'm looking forward to seeing them develop. When he sees the play Hitchens seems to get there in a hurry.

As Red likes to say "It was not too big for him". Think he is a nice piece to the puzzle, was active in his first game. Selvie also seems to be picking up the pace to where he left off last year.

I feel like he got swallowed up by their LT. Thoughts.

I thought he played well. He had a couple of pressures, almost had a sack and made a nice tackle.

He made his presence felt for the few snaps they gave him.

He needs more snaps.

I was more shocked at how big he was. I thought I remember hearing he might be undersized and I know about the reports of him getting bigger but he looked the role.

My initial thought was 'damn that dude is big.' I expected him to look like Manziel in a linemens number after reading about him on here.

I didn't expect much from Demarcus Lawrence and got pretty much what I had expected. It's nothing but hype that was being offered by those like Broaddus and others who expressed high expectations from a mere rookie. It's likely reasonable to expect incremental improvement in time but good things from newbies don't come easy.

i actually saw one play where he immediately backed out of his pass rush and gauged the running back to make a tackle.... the awareness kind of surprised me for his first game

I saw that too and was impressed.

26 snaps. 1 QB hurry on 13 pass rush attempts.

PFF credited him with 3 tackles all of them being stops. Though it's worth mentioning, PFF doesn't separate solo tackles from assists.

He's probably around 255-260 right now. If he can get to and STAY at 260, that size should be fine in this system. Pair him with a reliable LE that has pass rushing prowess, and he'll e fine. I like Nate Orchard from Utah in next year's draft to fill that role. They list him at 255 right now, but he looks like he's 265.
